Hold my bridge…

This is a famous accident from years ago in the Netherlands. Probably been posted before but first thing I thought off after finding this sub.

Canadian booze

If interprovincial trade barriers are coming down, why can I still not buy BC wine or Quebec beer in my Ontario liquor stores? If they're going to cave and bring back Yankee booze, they'd better fix this FAST.

AITAH for not attending Dad's funeral?

Dad died after years in palliative care. My cat is also dying and needs meds 3 x a day, and I won't ask anyone to take on that responsibility. My family can't wait for me to be available. Am I the asshole for not attending Dad's funeral?

Soon to be retired, extra $$ coming

I'm retiring next year, just paid off my mortgage and the plan is to buy lakeside property. No savings but I'll be making $70K pre-taxes. No kids, no spouse, $$ going to charity when I kick off. I've got $100K coming to me soon that I would like to be able to access for whatever I need. Is a TFSA my best bet?

Lakeside Small Town

I'm retiring in just over a year and would like to settle in a small lakeside town. Any recommendations?

My only condition is that I don't want to be surrounded by racists. I know how small-town Canada can be.

EDIT: I grew up in a small Canadian town (pop 500) so I know how it is.
