Who among you here got EXTRA interested in STEM or even space exploration because you watched PHM?

Just like there’s an increase in recruitment after the original Top Gun movie.

I’ve always loved Science growing up. We have encyclopaedias (yes I’m THAT old), but when we were small, I learned more from reading “Charlie Brown ‘Cyclopedia”. I loved watching THAT French guy going on his explorations of the ocean floor (didn’t know who he was until later on 😆).

So my extra interest on PHM feels natural (Grace just beats me in shouting “Xenon’s a gas!” Plus I know it’s rude to speak loudly in cinemas, let alone in IMAX).

So (movie) Grace didn’t find out what happened to Sol/Earth, question?

I’m sure he’ll be curious if the Beetles did their job. Unless he and Rocky had a similar conversation like what happened in the book.

Il Mare, the movie that was remade into The Lake House

I love the movie The Lake House when it first came out all those years ago. At the time, I read somewhere that it was based on a Korean film Il Mare but with a different ending. So I did not exert any effort to watch it.

SPOILERS: >!I was ready for a sad ending, but it is not. It was a slightly different ending to The Lake House but it was also a happy ending. Whew!!<!<

What everyday thing that you now replaced with a line or a scene from the movie?

(And only a few people will get it when you do 😆)

For me is when Rocky is gesturing to Grace to take his helmet off. My husband rides the motorbike and he’d come inside still with his helmet on. I would gesture and make the musical sound just like Rocky (he couldn’t hear me yet anyway 😂)

[TOMT] Movie mid to late 70s (or early 80s?) where a scene shows a man is killed with the neck of an electric guitar while they’re both on stage

This part of the movie was embedded into my brain since I saw this scene when I was very young. I’ve always wondered what movie this is.
