Considering ToDoist for elder care
I'll be as brief as possible.
Mom is 84 and basically alone as far as family is concerned. She has two volunteer jobs within 2 blocks of her home, many neighborhood friends, a standing "lunch bunch" gathering weekly, and a bunch of doctors carefully vetted for quality and proximity. She is still driving. Has no life threatening conditions but is a fall risk so injuries do happen. She lives alone in the family home of many decades. She's in a Rocky mountain state.
I am 62, and her primary caregiver as we have lost both my siblings and my dad in the past 7 years. I live on the East Coast. My husband will hit retirement in exactly 2 years and 5 days!!! Our plan, should Mom still be living, is to move to her (our hometown) immediately upon retirement.
Though it's costly (she usually covers the airfare), I travel to her as often as possible. Up to a 2 week trip every 6-8 weeks.
The family home is a historic one which my dad renovated. She refuses to leave it. I agree with her since she has a long term care plan that will allow this. And Dad created it to be elder friendly.
Up until now, she fills me in on appointments, projects, and whatnot nearly daily over the phone. She sends me a text every morning so I know that she didn't "wake up dead" (family joke).
I have just offered to be her "general contractor" for the projects the house needs. She's struggling to keep facts straight. "Stucco man needs to fix .... or did he fix that and now the lawn man can put back the landscaping..... ??"
For this reason, I'm looking at ToDoist as a way she and I can keep track of everything. I would also take advantage of tracking her medical needs through it.
She's easily frustrated with technology so I need an app that's friendly to her. I'm willing to pay for the $5/mo membership.
Please share any and all thoughts!! Is there a better way? (We all want to maintain her independence for as long as possible)
Thank you in advance!

Please help me understand what "low quality feedback post will be removed" means from the Rules of this group. Of course, that is the flare that fits this thread the best.
