I'm obscessed with wool now!

It all started last winter when looking for my baby girls first winter clothes. I baby wear a lot and found out wool was the best option to make sure she was snug and not overheating. Fast forward 1 year later I'm deep in the rabbit hole. I've learned not all wool is alike, I bought some cheap superwashed wool etc.. I have a wool mattress protector, wool undergarments for baby and myself, wool pijamas , pram suit, wool beanies, wool socks, etc...

My biggest purchase recently was a big organic wool double sided blanket for my bed... That's it! How did I ever sleep without it ?! I know it's expensive, but it's also a lifelong investment. I know my grandma has some wool blankets that just keep giving (if I lived in her country I'd probably ask for a few). My grandma finds this funny as people would get rid of wool blankets because it was old fashioned.

Are you hesitant on splurging on that wool blanket? If you can go for it!

Any other wool crazy people out there?

Feeling judged by family

I decided to leave my high paying corporate job to stay home with my girl for at least the first 2 years. She was born premature and an IVF baby after 5 years trying. She is my everything. I breastfeed and cosleep. She's turning 1 this week (10.5months adjusted age). For a bit more context we live abroad and don't have family support. I go out every day with her, we go on public transport, interact with other adults and children daily. I try to expose her to a very diverse environment as much as possible.

We are spending 2 weeks with family back home for holidays. And it's day 2 and she's more clingy then usual to me (I believe the flight, teething, change of routine and lots of people visiting and interacting with her is A LOT)

My mom is careful with what she says because she knows I'm stubborn and don't really want parenting advice. She's a great mom and grandma and gives me space, she's very helpful also. But I could feel she believes I hold my girl too much and I'm too quick to soothe and offer my boob. She mentioned she never carried me around and I was always happy and very independent. I tried to explain that my parenting style is with the goal of her becoming very independent but secure. I grew up very independent but feeling the need to constantly please others I'd like my girl to grow up and not feel like she needs to please others for self approval.

Anyways, I have a Mama's girl, and I deeply love it. But I do want to see her grow and be a strong and independent girl. Idk but sometimes I wonder if I'm maybe being a bit too much? My husband is following my lead, he's questioned attachment parenting but he's told me he's going to trust me as a mom on this one. He's dreaming of the day our girl wants daddy to cuddle... We are doing right by her right?

I’m looking to return to Minecraft Java and seek a relaxed, established community. I’m based in the Netherlands (CET) and miss the casual evening voice chats and collaborative building I’ve enjoyed in the past. I am a casual player (a bit rusty!) looking for a low-pressure environment to settle into.

My preferences:

  • A mature group (ideally 30+).
  • A focus on collaboration, not competitive/PvP play.
  • An established, whitelisted server with long-term projects.
  • A welcoming, parent-friendly atmosphere.

I am not looking for new servers, I’m interested in stability. If you have an active, friendly group that values social interaction and teamwork, tell me a bit about your community. I’d love to connect!
