Hey anyone in the AME-S program starting this Fall going to the Abbotsford airshow tomorrow? Would love to meet up and chat before school starts.

I'm in the market for a Kizer Smolt but trying to decide between the two steels. I live in the PNW so 14C28N would be ideal for the rust resistance but I do like the toughness and edge retention of 3V and don't mind putting a little more care into my knife. I have heard that Kizer's heat treatment can be all over the place so they miss out on the full properties of 3V because they run it a little soft. For a $10 difference, do you think it's worth upgrading from 14C28N to 3V? Or would they be pretty much the same because of the heat treat?
