18 wheeler on 66 doing 95mph!!!

I was driving on 66 from Leesburg Pike entry ramp where emerged with the toll road and as I was driving on the on-ramp, I hear this really really loud sound that sounded like a military machine behind me to my left. I was already doing about 70 and I see cruise by me like I was standing still a white tractor trailer with an open trailer on the back carrying 16 or 20 of those concrete barriers they put on the side of highways on its bed one row high. He was in the part of the plane approximately 10:30 PM on Wednesday night. He was switching lanes with no blinker and moving around like it was a Mazda Miata. And I would’ve guessed at the time I was doing about 90 miles an hour. I also wanted to be in the left lane so I caught in the left lane behind it and about two minutes later two things occurred to me. 1- tractor trailers are prohibited from driving on 66 towards DC inside the beltway and 2- I looked at my speedometer to check my speed and I was doing 81 or 82 miles an hour and the tractor trailer was pulling away from me. I wasn’t even close to keeping up with it. It was at that point that I figured something was way off about this erratic driving multiple times switching lanes going around people and maintaining a speed of at least 90 maybe 95 miles an hour. I was getting off at the Ballston stop(to get some Andy’s pizza shout out to Andy’s pizza the fucking best pizza ever!) and so prior to getting there I said I needed to get a look at this motherfucker so I hit the gas. I drive an F150. It’s got a sport mode and I hit 100 miles an hour and I was at that point keeping up with this truck and I pulled into the right lane so I could look and see him. The windows were a little too tinted to see the person inside and then it pulled away from me and that’s when I got off at my exit.

Now I am no narc. If I see something I do not say something generally speaking.I mind my business and I don’t turn people in that are doing things that I just think are weird not necessarily an obvious crime, that being said I won’t walk by someone getting raped or assaulted or obviously being taken advantage of without doing something. I consider myself complicit and responsible for allowing that, but if you look suspicious, you’re allowed to look suspicious as that is not a crime and I am not paid by the FBI or local police to do their jobs is my point.

All that to say this, though, I did call nonemergency to report this, and I gotta be honest a little disappointed with the with the response I got I got a very slow transfer from Arlington County PD who you would think would give a fuck and it was in their jurisdiction for sure, but instead, I was put on hold and by the time I got to state police this guy I’ve had to have been well into DC if he was taking 66 across the river. The other shocking thing is that time at night that’s a very long stretch of road for not one police officer to have seen not only the truck driving erratic, but the sheer fact that there are never any tractor trailers on 66. I took it for years and I knew that they weren’t allowed to be tractor-trailers but if you didn’t know that you would it would occur to you when you see this truck that something’s off because even subconsciously you know you’ve never seen a tractor trailer on 66. Can you only imagine what the traffic would be like if there was fucking tractor trailers!!??

Anyways, I guess I am a narc… I’m just not proud of it and I feel like telling everyone that. But also was interested in knowing did anyone else see this and if so, what’s your take on it? Am I nuts?

I have built fences for 20 years AMA.

I have spent the last 15 years building custom fences decks, pergola, and sheds (recently quite a bit of office/sheds a new trend going around) with AC finished inside loft areas you name it I’ve done it. Almost every job I do is completely custom which I enjoy because we get to do the design and the build and I love doing both. Also, it’s a great way to keep your mental sharpness top-notch because you’re always handed a problem by the homeowner that you have to solve creatively which is a lot of times what makes the job custom out of necessity. I’ve also started building greenhouses well really just one from my backyard a 10‘ x 16‘ with 10 foot ceilings, gable roof and even a 4’ x 6’ entryway.

Anyways, ask me any questions you’d like no questions are off-limits. Few examples should I do work with a relative Who’s in the business? Should I ask for discounts? What role does a referral play on choosing a contractor? What are the biggest red flags when it comes to choosing a contractor? What should my expectations be when it comes to timelines and estimates? Any tricks for the trade you can share? That’s a few to get you warmed up but ask whatever is important to you and I’ll do my best to answer it in a timely fashion.

Cheers,

Josh

Ford F150 2022 low beam bulb replacement

I’ll make this short and sweet. I was quoted by Mr. tire in Maryfield Virginia to replace two bulbs on my truck over $400. And I cracked the housing unit that holds the left headlights and they’re gonna charge me $2400 just for that piece alone. So almost $3000 and I was getting my tires changed with them as well and that total only came to $2000. I bought the truck for 40k two years ago. I told the guy you basically just totaled my car by telling me I needed a new lightbulbs and tires!

On top of that I found out I bought a newer model of any kind of car that these days the bulb is built into the housing unit and you have to replace the entire unit when your bulb goes out on a Honda Accord. The guy said that’s about $1500 per light. I told him I’ll be calling the attorney general’s office because that is absolute bullshit! Also Ford has one coming to him as well because you now have to takeoff the bumper to change the headlight. What do you think that does to labor costs?

I believe this is all a part of the elite plan of removing personal property from the regular citizen or person. The world economic form in 2021 Klaus Schwab very clearly stated that you would own nothing and be happy. I guess this is how they’re going about it. Because I remember when lightbulbs to replace in your car cost less than five dollars in the 90s. When I was in high school if you had $10 on Friday night, you could get a 12 pack of beer and put 5 gallons of gas in your car. If only we didn’t know how good we had it we probably still would’ve done the same fucking thing but it’s nice to think about isn’t it?

Anyways, love to hear some other peoples experiences, as well as if anyone’s on the inside track here as far as mechanics or body shop guys go let us know why this is happening or if you’re seeing other people lose their shit over this like I did.
