Till's representative flower is Edelweiss. He acknowledges this flower and correlates it with his feelings in his song, UTTE. Based on random floriography articles I swiped through, Edelweiss is a rare type of flower that displays a strong sense of endurance. It is able to grow and bloom in harsh environments. The flower signifies strength, resilience, devotion and purity. Perfect flower to pair Till with.

Anakt flowers. These flowers have no specific name but they could be Red Anemone, these flowers symbolise deep, passionate love that can drive one to ruin....or Red Poppy, flowers that offer peace after a bad event. We often see Till clutching onto these flowers for comfort. He has feelings brimming within him for a long time but it bears no good results as it is directed towards a person he can't reach (Mizi) and at the same time, similar feelings are directed at him...by Ivan.

Rue. Yellow-coloured flowers that signify regret, sadness, repentance. Till mentions this flower in his song, Scars. I interpret Scars as a song that portrays Till's grief over all the misfortune he has gone through...and his eventual path forward, despite the pain. These flowers will bloom beside him.....but their presence won't be overbearing for Till.

Also, when you mix the colours of these flowers....you get a new peach or coral type of colour. Peach/Coral coloured flowers signify positive attributes a person could have and would want to share, like: strength, modesty, goodwill, humility etc. Apparently, these flowers also signify beginnings of a new romance. 👀

We got Till angst with him at his miserable states. The emotional whiplash and dread experienced during Blink Gone ...and him being restrained in that container-like thing. He looks like a doll that you try to shove in the almirah with no more space.

This was balanced with Till fluff with him being an elderly brother-like figure to these kids and attaining personal fulfillment along the way.

Our goat is just versatile and layered like that!!! 💗💗💗. I hope he gets equal screentime and focus in upcoming R2!! ...

Okay, so they were barely friends in the main storyline but shared some similarities. Not being too great at studies, having hairstyles that dont flatter them too much, liking lesbians.

I am thinking what if they were actual friends in a more normal world? With similiar setups. Going to the same school, same workplace etc. I can picture them going to concerts to unwind. Till will be a Mizi-biased fan and Acorn will hype up Sua. ( If mzsu are idol-like artists here). They would probably buy and trade a lot of merch, join fanclubs etc.

An actual, ACTUAL round between them two would've been interesting too. What's Acorn's love for Sua like? Similiar to Till's for Mizi?.

I also wonder if Acorn will become a more realised character in anime to boost up the storylines of other characters and for more tragedy/comedy. Maybe he would be Till's friend ?

Till is drawn towards Mizi for her kindness and beauty. She becomes someone who motivates him, someone who's like a gentle breeze in his drought-like world. Since he struggles badly with verbal communication and jitters like crazy when he's too close to her, he sometimes settles with just the visuals of her in his mind. She uplifts him both directly and indirectly. Mizi doesn't reciprocate, and she's even put off sometimes by his very noticeable feelings for her, but still considers him a friend and risks her life to save him. Now, Till gets to return the favour and help her. Given how large a role Mizi plays in Till's character.....I think the point is whether it's romantic/platonic, Till will ALWAYS like Mizi. He's not willing to let things head into that "unknown" category and will strive forward to make changes since he's given the opportunity to do so. Meanwhile, Mizi is probably both consoled and agonised by her memories with.....SUA, first and foremost.

Ivan is drawn towards Till for his resilience/courage. Till is someone that fascinates Ivan a lot....like an "unknown" variable that he must decipher, and by doing this, it enriches his life. He gains some happiness and some sadness. He gets rejected during the meteor scene and settles with it. He ends up making Till uncomfortable a lot, both intentionally and unintentionally....to which Till responds with violence/extreme irritation, confusion that creates a permanent blockade in their relationship. They do have some quiet, peaceful moments, but they seem to go "nowhere"...👀. Ivan dies for Till and is aware that his expansive feelings for Till will go "unknown" (Paratise ref). Meanwhile, Till pieces together his memories and gains a bit of clarity, but he can never do anything for him now. Ivan is dead. Ivan's death is like a trigger that also influences Till to mend his relationship with.....MIZI.

In a way, Till will continue to yearn for Mizi (even if his feelings changed form). Ivan will always yearn for Till (with his feelings never changing as he died with them.)

All three characters involved care about each other a lot but there's no mutual romantic feelings in either pair.

Double the one-sidedness!!! The one-sidedness is very layered and can spark more discussions ....but BOTH dynamics have that trope.

These are just my rambles, btw because I enjoy both mizitill and ivantill ....and their one-sidedness.

These comics were scattered around and were compiled into one place by SegyeinArchive ( Twitter). These are either from Qmeng's now-deleted Twitter account or from her YouTube posts.

Anyway, I really like them and think they provide more insight into Till's character despite the comedic tone. In the first one, he loathes his hesitation so much that he casually mutters, "I will just die". In the MVs series....he's willing to just die after going through certain events and his own disappointment towards himself. ( Those scenes where he smacks his own display picture in All-In and giving up on singing in R6).

In the second/third one, he couldn't care less if his feelings are noticeable by others. He prioritises his own feelings and expression of them. He even blocks out any authoritative figure that may "stand in his way". It's teacher Luka here and alien guards in R2.

The fourth/fifth one is funny because even if Till is able to finally interact with Mizi....he's reminded of how one-sided his feelings are. It's comedic here.....it contrasts well with the serious tone in True Face comic where Mizi flat out tells him that she only loves Sua.

The sixth/seventh one highlights his dedication towards his art and how his self-esteem depends on whether he finds his own work acceptable or not. It reminds me of Scars comic Till where he considers himself a burden but was able to work through his trauma through art. So art is both arduous and beneficial for him. He's an artist through and through.

Till has covered all main songs except sweet dream/black sorrow. So I think we might get another solo cover from him. Betting on sweet dream!

Luka-UTTE. Since he's kinda "unknown" in a way and didn't get the chance to convey his feelings properly etc. I could also envision a Hyuna-UTTE.

HyuLuka- Cure

Since he's 28, mature and has had frequent interactions with various groups of people when it comes to his job......I like to think that he found himself a new partner!! Someone with whom he was actually able to connect. Someone to finally put that flower crown on.I have always been a silent enthusiast of Till X New person. Also, he really won't be able to take care of all those kids...alone. 😊😛

When it comes to art expression, I like to think he does some graffiti on some run-down establishments for practice or to just enhance their appearance. He would also draw random objects/scenes in order to console those kids and aid their very own artistic development.

For music, I think....he would keep it hidden, like only a handful of people would know or maybe even join him in it. He would probably keep it hidden to keep his alnst past on the down low.

I also don't think he feels any sort of connection towards Luka ..enough to go and rescue him as well. Luka probably has a "new chapter" thing going on behind the stage with variables specific to him only. I don't think Till is part of that variable.

Cute, wonderful, funny, lovely, tragic, wholesome, aggressive, handsome, silly, beautiful, glorious, fabulous, stupendous, amazing, interesting, cool, awesome, nice, bad, gentle, sweet, explosive, impulsive, artistic, passionate?

Why does he have three main songs with high replay value? Why are his side songs so diverse and tailored to fit certain moods? Why does he change his hairstyles like a diva? Why is he cute and wonderful in all AUs? Why does he blush so hard? Why does he get angry so hard? Why are his hands always busy? ( drawing, creating beats, tending to flowers, hitting Ivan, hitting aliens). Why are his outfits a strange mix of hit-flop? Why does he come across as a delicate-strong male? Why does his appearance give off "eccentric, male model" vibes?

Just some best character things, ig.

I was a hugeeeee BTS fan back then and wanted to consume any bit related to them. They had this fictional, angsty storyline going on in their MVs. This storyline got adapted as a webtoon! When I learned about webtoon app's existence, "Save Me" was the first ever story I read on the platform.

Fast forward to six years later, I am no longer a fan....I gradually phased out of that interest, but I really appreciate how one interest (K-pop) led me to dive into manhwa world which ended up being another, long-standing interest of mine. So "Save Me" is nostalgic for me. And I really liked how it gave Jin the protagonist spotlight, since he was an underrated member of the group with fewer lines/screentime..lol.

I like him more as a plot thread, a thread that briefly connects most of the characters together through shared experiences/bonding, etc....than as an actual character. I am more moved and interested in how other characters react to his death, how it stirs up personal dilemma among the characters, and how it influences their decisions. Since the series is about music, I really like how Yuki, in a way, positively shapes up the musical direction our characters take.

Mafuyu overcomes his conflicting feelings for music and grows to genuinely enjoy singing. Uenoyama gets inspired by traces Yuki left behind and gets on his own grind. Hiraagi is able to let go of his personal guilt and envision a new future for SYH with Shizusumi.

Dare I say, SYH is (S)hizusumi, Ueno(Y)ama, (H)iraagi..

Strawberry Swing was a nice addition to get us to empathise with Yuki, but I ultimately empathised more with Yuki's mother instead and her way of dealing with her grief. She was so numb with shock that it took her some time to actually register the death of her only child....💔💔and the way she subtly and selfishly implores Mafuyu to remember him via that guitar. I like that they were eventually able to work out a more supportive/pleasant dynamic.

I prefer alnst sua. I liked how she came across as a quiet, sweet girl who can be overbearing in a subtle way. The way she willingly corners herself and solely dedicates herself to one person at her own bliss/detriment was nicely portrayed. Her selfish-selfless ratio is fun to think about.

As for zomst sua, she's more "active" and takes the lead on stage.....but there's something really corny about her characterisation here. It's not as intriguing as her alnst portrayal. (Her parts in Candy Scar song are the best tho)

I think Round 7 was the best package when it comes to him. Whatever energy and also his lack of it, that he had showcased in his prior rounds, was combined to create R7 Till. We have Till trying to rock it with his guitar and some gestures....but he also falters due to stress and added pressure ( thanks Luka....). His character relationships with Mizi/Ivan were also nicely portrayed. The jump from regret/guilt over Ivan to pure, momentary happiness when Mizi shows up. He probably had no situational awareness in that brief moment....that the song was about to end, and he was gonna get shot. Makes the strike even more sad, imo.

Second favourite is Round 2. I wish it was longer but it did a good job at showcasing Till's impulsive and spontaneous personality. He improvises and does what he wants, even if it brings him harm.

Probably a question too soon but I am curious to know about your hopes/expectations for your faves and all.

I drool at the thought of Till being irritated enough to yell words like "Urusai", "Mendouksai" etc. Potential Acorn- Till friendship since they will have to pad up some relationships so the cast feels more human and "alive". The possibility of Till's introductory song being longer. Io scenes.....

In alnst, Till is shown to get violent towards aliens when they try to impose on him. The only human Till got physically violent towards was Ivan. They exchanged mutual beatings, but it is shown that Till usually starts it. Whenever Ivan overwhelms Till, Till responds with his fists. This is obviously bad and highlights how physically aggressive Till can get, which also correlates with him failing at verbal communication. This specific nature of Till is also portrayed in a comedic way.

In the latest school AU comic, Till gives Ivan a nice one on the head when he was being too clingy....so do you think zomst R2 would also showcase scenes of Till's violence towards Ivan? I would assume yes since they seem to create parallels between alnst/zomst....so maybe Till's violent side would be kept? Would he smash another instrument on stage? Would he hit Ivan on stage?

Also what do you think of violence between them in alnst? Does it reinforce their tragedy....or is it just silly boys stuff?

Since the base story/character dynamics from the OG are carried on to this zombie AU,......how do you feel about the possibility of Ivan being dragged to the chopping block, Sua-style?

Him being drenched in total misery with a few specks of happiness and whimsies. His loneliness that can only be satiated by one-sided interactions with Till. Him being infected and chained so that he can brim with that infection some more. And then being dragged to become an even more mangled version of himself. What if he gets "special treatment"? ( He got special treatment in R6. They shot him like...four times.) 💀

As an Ivan fan myself, I want him to rest in peace. The type of "peaceful rest" that can be spun in various ways.

This manga left me with a strange mix of emotions, I am mostly satisfied with the story, the final confrontation between >!Shishio and Suzume!< even brought me to tears but I also think the plot could've been much more polished. The art is gorgeous and amplifies the mediocre bits of this story so much. The final chapter had a nice curtain-rolling monologue, but it would've been more impactful if the "side stories" were incorporated into the ending, rather than being advertised as "side stories."

When it comes to the characters, I think the best one was Shishio. His story came across as more well-thought and well-presented. His dynamic with FL, his personality quirks, and limitations were all well depicted. I ended up liking him more even tho Mamura was my initial favourite/preferred choice.

As for Suzume, I think she started strong, gets strung along by everyone, and slowly finds her place back. She was a nice portrayal of a high school girl who tries to make sense of things as much as she can.

Sugar, spice and a dash of one-sidedness!

Till liked Mizi. Mizi is a complex character of her own, but she IS pretty, cheery, kind, friendly. I see people say that it's her "fake personality" she put on to get by, but I don't really see it that way. Sure, she may have felt compelled to act in a certain way, but those aforementioned traits are genuinely part of her person. And Till was awestruck by that. Sure, he doesn't know her completely, but HE did know part of what she was like. This particular nature of Mizi soon begins to enlighten Till in various ways. He picks up pen and paper often either to scribble a doodle or a song, he feels exceedingly happy when they have a slight interaction, he tries to initiate conversations with her to get to KNOW her more but fails. This seems to go on for years, and eventually, Mizi becomes one of the biggest reason why Till... continues to be Till. His endurance, his resilience , is influenced by Mizi. She's his guiding light and favourite person. He wants to get closer to her but can't and IS fine with that. It gets to the point that once Mizi is plucked out, he loses sense of his self... like a deflated balloon. He wants to remain in a threshold from which he can glance at her. For the most part, Till was a guy who admired her from afar.

I consider Till's feelings for Mizi to be an integral, indispensable part of his character. Not just the latter growth but his indulgence in those feelings, for such a long period of time, at that. I would even say that Mizi was his first love. One-sided love is a thing. You're free to like anyone, really. This form of love is typically associated with heartbreak, sadness, etc...but it can also be beautiful, liberating, a lifetime memory to look back on despite party B never reciprocating your feelings. It can also influence your interests. Mizi used to gift stuff like flute to Till, and that must have enhanced his knack for musical expression, and years later, Till seems to have retained his interest in flowers. Till still likes her. The "like" just transformed into a more familial type of like.

As for Mizi, everyone knows that she doesn't reciprocate and felt overwhelmed and uncomfortable by Till's feelings for her that she caught notice of but still preferred to stay on amiable terms with him. She tries in her own ways to try to understand Till better and get to know him. She initiates conversations that end up being small talk, gifts him valuable items like band-aids given how Till is frequently spotted with bruises, she takes note of his musical talent and gifts him a flute. She risks her own life to save his life and while doing so has a breakdown where Till's apparent death invokes traumatic memories in her: losing her friends one by one and how guys used to view her as just some pretty object that one can subjugate on their will. From Mizi's pov, Till is part of BOTH of those memories and despite these complicated, drastic mix of positive-negative feelings, she chose to save Till and ensured his survival. She doesn't know him completely but she does know a part of what he's like and considered him a FRIEND based on that. Not to mention, the familial notion she holds for him as well.

When I say I like MiziTill, I mean all this.⬆️
