My dog is in palliative care, how can I make it more comfortable for him?

He has liver cancer, mostly asymptomatic so he isn't in pain, but his appetite comes and goes. We just give him whatever he wants at this point. All his life, he has been a somewhat reactive dog and he gets very excited on walks, often making himself sick with it, so that combined with his weight loss and weakness, we haven't taken him out much. All the treats and all the pets, but it feels so underwhelming. His last days should be made more special for him. We always said we would give him a big roast dinner before he dies but here we are and he just doesn't have the appetite for it. Is there anything else to do but wait?

How to ethically deter slugs and snails?

There are tons of them that come out at night and decimate my mother's plants. She's thinking about getting slug pellets, and for obvious reasons, I am against it. Are there ethical ways to deter them, or at least kill them painlessly without risk to other wildlife?

Movies with a similar vibe to Dracula (2025)?

I watched Dracula: A Love Tale (2025) and it sucked (in so so many ways) but I loved the visuals and dramatics, for the most part. The freaking gargoyles were something else though 😭

Spoliers for The Chalk Man

I finished reading TCM and although I really enjoyed it, the ending let me down terribly. Very anticlimactic, I wish she went down the split personality route (Ed certainly had enough trauma for it). "Keep the reader guessing" and all that, but she built it up beautifully only to double back. Writers often fall into the trap of wanting to be smarter than their readers, to keep their ending a complete mystery even if it ruins the plot lol. Do any of her other horror books have better endings?

Anecide spot treatment with 5% benzoyl peroxide for closed comedones?

I've had closed comedones on my forehead for years and I'm desperate to be rid of them. Will this help? How should I go about using it? Once or twice a day? Every day or just a few times a week? Should I rinse it off after 10 mins? Any side effects? I have a very oily forehead which is probably what causes it so will it fix that as well? Moisturiser on top or skip altogether? Sorry for all the questions but I really don’t want to end up making it worse and instructions on the bottle are often so vague

I need help finding a new moisturiser

I have closed comedones on my forehead, forehead acne (mostly hormonal), and sebaceous filaments/blackheads (?) on my nose. I didn’t grow up with any sort of skincare so I'm just figuring it all out now. I get a really oily forehead which is probably the cause of it all. I use a cleanser in the morning and night (CeraVe foaming cleanser) so now I just need a good moisturiser that won’t make my skin worse. Previously I have used the Dr Organic oil control moisturiser with salicylic acid, and the CeraVe facial moisturiser lotion PM. Neither have made my skin worse but not much better, aside from the Dr Organic reducing the darkness of the blackheads. I use the Altruist sunscreen spf 50 (hoping to switch to the lighter weight face fluid once it comes back in stock) so I need something that won’t mess with that.
I want to start switching over to entirely cruelty-free products as well so anything ethical and green would be great. Thank you :)
