My blind buy of Knee High, by Pearfat, arrived yesterday!

The notes are listed as:

Top: Indiana Sweet Corn

Middle: Honeysuckle, Tiger Lily

Base: Fresh Blueberries, Hot Summer Air

I got a chance to wear it today and so far I’m enjoying it. It opens with bright, fresh, sweet corn. Like, for me, it smells just like freshly shucked corn from the road side corn stands that show up in the late summer. I love it! Sadly though, the corn note isn’t long lasting for me. It quickly dries down into a soft, slightly floral blueberry. I can still smell it on my arm where I sprayed it this morning, however, it is by no means “beast mode”. Nobody would be chasing me down the supermarket aisle asking what I’m wearing lol. 😂 (which I’m cool with!!)

Overall, I’m pleased with this purchase and my only complaint is that the corn note doesn’t last longer. Is corn like the banana note?! Fleeting and relegated to the opening of fragrances?! Honestly, idk. This is my only fresh corn perfume. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’d love to try more though if anybody has suggestions.

Random aside: Scents by Arri just released a new fragrance called Cereal Killa and one of the top notes is toasted cornflake accord. Naturally, I ordered it immediately. It shall be the summer of all things CORN! My new white whale. Viva la Corn! All hail King Corn! Look busy, Corn is coming!!! Okay I’m done now. I’ll see myself out.

My bottle of Vanilla Mudslide by Blndrgrphy arrived today, and when I went to grab the package off my porch I’m thinking: “huh, this seems really heavy?!” Well that’s because it’s packaged in a full on wooden box, and then inside the wooden box is a cocktail shaker, and then inside the cocktail shaker is the actual fragrance. 😂😳 It’s like a fragrance matryoshka! Was not expecting that.🪆

The fragrance notes are listed as:

**Top Notes**: Bitter Almond, Butter note, Coconut milk

**Middle Notes**: Cocoa, Coffee, Davana, Sweet Almond, Vanilla

**Base Notes**: Iso E Super, Ambroxan, Vodka, White Musks

It’s a really nice gourmand vanilla that’s boozy and almondy. I kept requesting samples of it with various orders from ZGO, and after I used my last one I figured it was time to get a FB.

In my defense, I have zero fragrances with corn as a note! I don’t think that makes my husband feel any better though. 😂🤷🏻‍♀️
