Need help with Erica Synths Bassline DIY

I'm building the Erica Synths Bassline kit from Synthrotek. A few components were included that seem incorrect on the included BOM vs. the PCB and old BOMs. This is all on the Logic board. Included BOM is pictured.

The included BOM says R93/R118/R131 are 33k resistors but the board and old BOM say 39k/22k/56k. R94 is 100k on the included BOM but the board and old BOM say 220k. And R119 is 330k on the included BOM but the board and old BOM say 470k. Better to go with what's included in the kit and indicated on the included BOM, or change these out for what's marked on the board and old/online BOM?

Also the included ceramic disc capacitors are marked There are three 392 (3.9nF) ceramic capacitors included but the BOM says they should be 224 (220nF) C37/C42/C45. Maybe it's just a kitting error.

Fusion returns 28.6 - 2.7.2028

Not sure if everyone saw the message inside this year’s wristband that says “SEE U AGAIN 28.6 - 2.7.2028”

It’s already in my calendar and I said a prayer to the weather gods for lower temperatures.

My first rug

Finished my first rug, just in time to head to Fusion music festival in Germany. It’s door mat size, to decorate the camp.

2 van seats available on Monday from Fusion to Berlin airport

We have two seats available in our private van hire taking us from Fusion to the Berlin airport on Monday, June 29 if anyone needs a ride. There are 3 of us riding so far. Total cost is about €300 so we split it evenly among the riders. If one rider joins us it is about €75 each. If two riders join us it is about €60 each. The van will pick us up at the wristband/entry booth 12:00-13:00 and the ride is about 2 hours. The driver is clean of course, and there should be good Air conditioning. DM me if you can commit to a ride and the cost, and we will confirm details.

Ohmforce Bohm new firmware

I’m trying to install the new Bohm firmware with the new HPN model. But when I download the firmware, it’s the same one I already have loaded and the HPN model is not in there. I’m registered in the site. What else do I need to do?

Dictionary prints

I bought 9 of the dictionary prints way back in 2011. I’m sure they are long gone now. We’ve moved a few times. If I still had them I’d share them with anyone here that wanted them.

Obsidian or Notion or ?

I’ve been using Evernote as my personal note taking app for many years. They just doubled the price and I’m ready to move on. I just write simple notes for my personal things and a summary of each DnD session (as a player in several campaigns) and as a new DM in one campaign. It seems like Obsidian is the more popular choice over Notion but I have zero experience with either. I think I’ll try both. Obsidian seems free other than syncing, which I would like. Any advice based on my minimal need? Does anyone have a good YouTube video of how they use either of these programs in D&D so I can learn a bit and make a decision?

I’d like to design a kobold ambush. The players will walk into an empty camp with a smoldering fire. The kobolds will jump out of the trees and bushes. I just can’t figure out how surprise works here. I read so many posts about surprise and ambushes but I still don’t understand it. If anyone can walk me through it step by step, I’d really appreciate it.

Also, in an ambush, the ambushers would get shots off before the ambushed know what’s going on. That’s like the surprise round, right?
It’s not fair to have an arrow hit one of the ambushed and then say roll initiative, right?

I don’t know if I’m going to figure out how surprise works for this so I might just abandon the surprise factor and say “an arrow flies past your head” as part of the script, and then roll initiative. Is that a fair way to play the start of the fight?

Edit: 5.5e/2024 rules, or whatever they decided to call it.

We just got our Kawai CA-901 today after waiting 3 months. My wife is very happy. Looks like it will be a lot of fun. I’m interested in the midi functions. The manual doesn’t say anything other than to connect to a computer. Surely a USB midi host will work and I can connect a synth to that, right? I tried a little tonight but it didn’t work. I don’t want to connect to a computer. Anyone have experience with midi connections on a CA-901?
