New DIY Marble Planter Box

New DIY Marble Planter Box

This is one my newest DIY projects. Absolutely loving this. Marble tiles I found on sale and a shadow box frame. Used some scrap foam to fill the center and just some green felt over it. Just need to put some no slips on the bottom. Grinds nicely and feels very realistic to an actual skate spot.

When graphics you vibe with aren't dropping... ya gotta create your own.

I absolutely love all the artistic abilities and expressions found in skateboarding, fingerboarding, painting, graffiti, etc...however, I haven't seen many fingerboard decks that are like "that's me... that's my vibe". So, I went and purchased a brand new Slushcult Grom Series just to paint over it. I didn't bother sanding the original graphic off. I used the Water-Based POSCA Pens/Markers for the Green, Yellow, and Red. Then, I used a waterproof ultrafine permanent marker to draw the LOJ and the accent lines. Once I was happy with that, I took a can of ultra-clear clear coat and gave it 2 rather light passes. I let it dry overnight and then it was ready to set up.

The whole set up is as follows...

-Custom Graphic Slushcult Grom Series 34mm Deck

-All Black Slushcult Grom Series 34mm Trucks

-Teak Tuning Apex Wheels

(Stock bushings and stock foam grip)

I hope y'all like it as much as I do! I think it turned out great. Someday I want to try different trucks and better wheels. My birthday is coming up(gonna be 40!), so maybe the universe will bless me with some things! 🥳🥳🥳

Fairburn Agate

This is the 1st solid gem Fairburn I ever found. This is being backlit for a really nice candling effect. South Dakota State Gemstone. (This pic is from 11 years ago.)

Switch Tre Flip.

1st try Switch Tre Flip... clipped the bottom stair a tad tho. Tried getting a cleaner one, but ran out of time for the session, so just rolled with this. Regular plastic TechDeck with the plastic wheels and sandpaper grip. (Anyone wanna donate a proper fingerboard, I've always wanted to try one out.)
