Made $500k .. not working.. in the past year (not a brag)

The money is just in index funds and bonds... I didn't do anything special.

It's really amazing how the snowball keeps getting bigger once it's started. I guess I'm posting this because I can only tell one IRL person, and I really want to encourage other people to build their own snowball.

I don't feel like I missed out on much in my working years. I did drive/keep a cheap car and live in a modest apartment. I went to all the concerts and dinners I wanted to. Traveled when I could.... tipped people, bought gifts, donated to charity...etc

I'm really disappointed in the food logging options for Amazfit. Basically it seems like there's nothing. No barcode scan... manually enter calories and take pictures of your food. It would be quicker to just log in a paper notebook, like the 1970s.

It also seems like they don't integrate with MyFitnessPal or any other app that is good at food logging.

I guess you get what you pay for. Previously I had a FitBit but got tired of the devices breaking in a year or two.

This is an amazing and fun doc. It's made by Richard O'Brian's son Linus... so he got access to pretty much the whole cast and crew. They all sat for interviews, even Tim Curry.

This covers the whole history, from the writing of the stage play to the fan clubs that evolved from the movie. Initially Rocky Horror was a stage play in London, then it moved to LA and eventually NewYork. Because it was such a success, a movie was made... that was initially not well received. Anyway... this and more is in the doc.

I saw this last night, and had the whole theater to myself. I had to drive an hour out to the suburbs, which is too bad. I think if it was playing here in the city, it would get more attention. It kind of make me sad that movies without a big advertising budget go unnoticed. I saw a doc about crypto that was in a similar situation.

This is a unique movie. It's about a kid that's troubled for no obvious reason. Parents seem nice, siblings are well adjusted..... yet the brother is getting arrested, and threatening to burn the house down. I'd guess most of us knew a kid like this, when we were young... so it's an interesting premise for a movie.

This family dynamic is autobiographical. I guess through this movie the director is trying to put together the pieces of what happened in a different time-- a couple decades ago. I won't say what does happen, but it's a lot to witness as a child.

At first the story is witnessed through the eyes of a small child, then we cut to her as an adult... making this film about her brother and family. It's an interesting premise... that was a little confusing. There's time shifts and characters that look a lot alike, but that doesn't ruin it at all.
