Linx cardiac complications?
Hello, all. I am 9 weeks post linx/hiatal hernia surgery.
Since the surgery, my resting blood pressure and heart rate have plummeted to readings that have my PCP alarmed. He referred me for a cardiac workup (never had one before, and I'm in my 70s).
One of the things mentioned in the initial workup was the possibility that the surgery may have irritated my vagus nerve and is the source of ongoing cardiac issues.
I'm scheduled for tests next week, but wanted to poll this group to see if any of you who had the surgery have experienced anything similar.
On a good note, the surgery completely eliminated my GERD, and the swallowing issues, while noticeable, are manageable.
Thanks for your help!
