Hamilton Model 23

Found this one in a local auction.
With a few twists of fate, I was able to win the bid and bring this awesome specimen home.
It came with the original box and in excellent condition.
Mint dial, hands and casing.
But a few minor things I noticed is there is a bit of discoloration in the back, showing a yellowish color much like bronze. I am not sure of this is how these watch were produced back then. Or with age, the back oxidized, hence the discoloration.
And given this should be a military issued chronograph, there is no ordinance stamp or military spec on the caseback.

I think this might be a NOS chronograph timepiece that was sitting in the warehouse and never got issued.
What do you think?
Kind of interesting.

Hamilton Field Watch

Found this little Hamilton field watch (mil-w-46374a) in local auction site.
Thought it was in a pretty nice condition, so decided to go for it. Not sure if I overpaid for it.
But happy with the find.

Side by Side Comparison of Howard Series 0 and 1 Movement

I think so might enjoy this. I personally am geeking out starring at them and finding all the small nuances among the two movements.

Series 0 has just returned from a service. Hence, having the opportunity to place them side by side.

A shot at the pallet fork of Howard Keystone series 0

Thought some folks might like this.
I sent my Howard Keystone series 0 to a watchmaker for servicing.
He took multiple shots of the watch during the process.
I like this one as the stones on the pallet fork was not ruby as I thought it would be.

Disclaimer: I did not took the photo, my watchmaker did.

Howard Keystone Series 12

This little fella arrived a few days ago.
It feels much smaller in pocket watch format. What really sticks out is how thin the watch is.
I really like the dial having the numerals in gold. The second hand is in gold as well to match the color scheme of numbers.
The case back pattern is also really exquisite.
I can imagine myself staring at this thing for hours if I am traveling with it in my pocket.

Howard Keystone Series 8

Got this little guy today.
Series 8 feels like a jacked up version of series 7 in jewel count.
It is really awesome looking at how the jewels pop on the bridge compared to series 7. And that extra end stone setting on the escape wheel and the brass train of wheels adds to that two tone scheme of the movement.
It came with the original box. Unfortunately, the certificate was a printed copy made by the previous owner. And there is a hairline crack close to 9 o’clock.
But other than that, a really awesome watch.

Found and acquired an E. Howard & Co. Boston series VIII.

Overall condition is good. There is a chip toward the edge of the dial at 11 o’clock with a few barely visible hairline cracks.

I am just happy to have the opportunity to own this piece.
