Long post incoming:

I'm dealing with some problems so I hope I can reach some people here that will be willing to help me go further with my goals.

I started at 328 last November, went to a doctors trip and was pretty much told quit being a lazy mfer and do some work and drop the weight. I had already started cholesterol medication and honestly was eating whatever I wanted/whenever I wanted. I also could easily pound a 12 pack of regular coke in a day, no issue and I truly think I'm being conservative about that number now. When I started this journey I immediately decided that I would make the switch to full blown diet sodas only and thankfully found that I enjoyed Diet Dr. Pepper actually more than I enjoyed a coke or regular dr. Pepper, so I got extremely lucky on that. And for my weight loss goal I just picked a number out of thin air to hit try to hit 245, a number that I haven't been close too since probably middle school.

I immediately changed my diet too. Not strict as in I was weighing everything out but rice, chicken and sweet potatoes became my choices in food unless I wanted a steak, at that point I would always pick the less fatty new York strip.

On Jan 4th, after a conversation with a coworker, I was gifted my trusty Norditrack C900 Treadmill, which has taught me me a love for cardio. When I started, my goal was simple, 10k steps a day which was a massive jump from minimum steps to get through my day to doing 10k plus natural steps I'd take just performing life activities. Somewhere along the lines that become not enough anymore because my heart rate wasn't increasing well enough and the workouts became non useful. Meaning I wasn't burning calories anymore with the weight loss. I have now switched to running. Something I enjoyed in the beginning, but won't lie my body has become sore after training for 3 10k and having a new goal of a 15k this weekend planned.

I say all of this to say that I am struggling mentally with the ability to take days off. I have forced myself to take the last few days off. And I am considering taking off the entire week before my 15k this weekend due to simple aches and pains in my feet and legs. As well as my weight loss has went stagnant as well. Maybe I'm not weighing my food properly. Maybe I'm not doing something properly.

To break my day down. This might help

For breakfast I'm drinking a protein shake. 60 grams of protein.

Lunch lately I have been eating a subway footlong sub that equals about 700-750 calories

And dinner is a wild card with a wife and 2 children and never knowing what the plan is for dinner until I get home from work. Will point out my wife is not joining me on this weight loss journey. So these decisions are mine that I'm making.

My main struggle is mental. The guilt of taking days off, is building up inside of me and now I'm not even trying to think about taking my minimum 10k steps because its built so much stress in me that I'm afraid its taken my life over.

I weighed 240 this morning. I'm almost down 100 lbs. I'm thankful for the progress, but I'm wondering am I missing something to make this next step easier? My garmin app suggest that I take in 2400 calories a day but when I do I only see increase on the scale the next day.

I also worry that I might need to seek professional help with the anxiety of missing workout days. Its to the point where these last few days are the only volunteer days I've taken off since the beginning of my journey in November and my largest fear is one day, turns into two, two days turns into three and three days turns into 150 lbs gained again.

I'm sorry if I've rambled too long here. I just would love some input from folks who have been there and done this. My weight has hovered around that 240 for a few weeks and I've seen no movement. I worry I'm not eating in a true calorie deficit and might need to start meal prepping on the weekends to make my next step of this journey a continued success.
