Has anyone had a slower recovery with a cleft lift?

I am 2.5 weeks out from a cleft lift with Dr. Wadie. I am so happy I went this route but I am STRUGGLING. I am alone now and I am still too sore to drive and walk for more than 10ish minutes. I get fatigued super easily and have still been needing naproxen or ibuprofen daily.

I know most people are fine by now but I had to take yet another week to work from home and I’m feeling guilty about it. Anyone had a slower recovery as well?

SATS causing nightmares crankiness and bad sleep?

I’ve been practicing SATS (State Akin to Sleep) every night for the past two weeks. I usually visualize my end scene until I fall asleep, and I’ve been pretty consistent with it.

The weird part is that since I started, I haven’t had a single restful night of sleep. I’ve been having intense, vivid nightmares or stressful dreams almost every night. I wake up feeling exhausted.

Last night I decided to skip SATS completely, and for the first time in two weeks I slept deeply and had pleasant dreams. I woke up actually feeling rested.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is it possible that SATS is stirring up subconscious fears or emotions before they get processed? Or is this just a coincidence?

I’m curious if anyone went through something similar and whether it eventually passed, or if you changed how you practiced SATS (earlier in the evening, shorter sessions, affirmations instead of visualization, etc.).
I’d love to hear your experiences because I really want SATS to work, but I also don’t want to sacrifice my sleep in the process.

Thought I hated the 2026 redesign and ended up falling in love!

Upgraded the 2017 rav 4 unexpectedly for the 2026 SE HYBRID!

I am the proud owner of a new 2026 Rav 4 in white pearl!

But I’m the first to admit I did not think I wanted the new version UNTIL I test drove. I was so convinced it was ugly and boxy. I was so sure I wanted the Mazda CX-50 with the more lux interior.

I went to test drive the Mazda and realized just how more cramped it felt and I wasn’t not impressed the with technology at all. It had a small screen and dated dials.

I went to test drive the Rav 4 and fell in love! It felt so sleek and modern with the utility vibe I loved from my 2017 Rav 4. Also the digital dash and informant really sold me.

Luckily I only had to wait 2 days to find one in my town and bought it!

Any experiences with Dr. Wadie for a Cleft Lift in NC as an out of state patient?

Anyone have experience with Dr. Wadie for a cleft lift?

Hi everyone,

I’m considering having a cleft lift with Dr. Wadie and would love to hear from anyone who’s been a patient.

How was your experience overall? How was the surgery, recovery, bedside manner, and your results? Have you had any recurrence or complications since the procedure?

I’ve been dealing with this for a while and want to make sure I’m choosing the right surgeon. Any advice, or things you wish you knew beforehand would be greatly appreciated.

I’ll be traveling to the state for surgery so super curious about recovery.
Thanks in advance!
