My experience with Repatha and sticking with it after reading posts

I'm in my early 50s and had a heart attack about four years ago. I can't tolerate statins, so my cardiologist suggested Repatha. I was hesitant because I'm on Mounjaro, and injectables tend to give me flu-like symptoms.

The first injection wasn't too bad. The second one - oh my.

The next day I felt like I did after my heart surgery. My whole body felt incredibly heavy, I ached everywhere, and even moving around felt like a huge effort. My left side felt especially heavy, which really worried me. (I have an old neck injury that can flare up when I'm not feeling well, but this was much worse than usual.)

The biggest issue, though, has been the fatigue. I'm exhausted all the time. I'll sleep 9-10 hours, get up, shower, and then feel like I need to go back to bed. I have no energy to do anything, not even go for a walk. It's like a brutal jet lag - these waves of tiredness.
I've started B12 drops just to see if it helps.

I was ready to stop Repatha because I honestly didn't think it was worth it. But after reading so many experiences on this from you guys, I've decided to stick with it for another couple of months to see if my body adjusts.

My doctor says it's "rare" that this extreme fatigue happens, so I told him to check out this forum!

Those of you that had this - when did the fatigue subside? 2nd month maybe? (I'm trying to be hopeful here)

UK - Question regarding naturalisation evidence/docs for jure sanguinis application

I am trying to obtain Italian citizenship through my mother, who was born in Italy, and I’d appreciate a sanity check to make sure I’m understanding this correctly.

I'm in the UK, Scotland.
I have:

  • my mother’s Italian birth certificate,
  • her marriage certificate,
  • my full birth certificate,
  • her current Italian passport and she is registered with AIRE.

I also have an extract/document stating that she lost Italian citizenship through marriage in the 1950s - so she has dual (British and Italian)

Am I correct in understanding that the key issue now is proving when she reacquired Italian citizenship (or at least when she was again recognised/registered as an Italian citizen), and that this would generally need to have occurred before I was born in order for citizenship to pass to me?

I’m mainly trying to confirm whether I’m focusing on the correct missing document/evidence at this stage.

Thanks so much for your help.

Did anyone else feel no difference going from 2.5mg to 5mg?

Hey all, wondering if anyone else has experienced this with Mounjaro.

I started on 2.5mg and it worked really well right away. The food noise disappeared, I stopped constantly thinking about food, and I lost weight over about 2.5 months (although I was also going through extreme stress at the time, so I do wonder if that contributed too). The only side effect I had was flu-like symptoms for about a day and a half after the injection.

Eventually though, 2.5mg stopped working. The food noise came back, I wasn’t getting full as quickly, and I started eating badly again.

So I moved up to 5mg, but honestly I felt absolutely no difference at all, which really surprised me.

I’m about to move up to 7.5mg and hoping that’s where I notice a change again. Has anyone else had a dose increase that seemed to do nothing? Did 7.5mg make a noticeable difference for you?

I still have 3 doses of the 5mg left and don’t really want to waste them, so I’m also unsure whether to finish those first or move up to 7.5mg sooner.

Adding dosage timeline -
12 weeks on 2.5
5 weeks on 5 with 3 doses left
