I made this video a while ago, tried my best because I really suck at this creating video thing and all hahahaha..

The coffee had little to no crema because it was a mid light roasted coffee (Paul John: Bangalore Dreams) with notes of Pomegranate, Red Apple, Orange & Rose.. and it took me a while to understand that light or mid light coffee(s) are best suited for Pour Over, V60 or AeroPress methods, not preferably for Espresso machines.. nevertheless I like abusing my free will occasionally..

I definitely enjoyed it while it lasted..

Legal notice worked and I got my refund, but can I still approach the Consumer Commission for compensation?

Hi everyone,
I wanted to get some legal advice regarding a consumer dispute.

Back in March 2026, I ordered genuine accessories for my Tata Altroz through the official Tata Motors website and paid ₹5,609 online. The order was assigned to an authorized Tata dealership for fitment. They never contacted me despite promising to do so within 48 hours.

After waiting for weeks, I cancelled the order. Even after cancellation, I was told that the dealership would contact me within 48 hours to process my refund, but again, nobody reached out.

I spent the next few months following up through phone calls, emails and WhatsApp. The dealership asked me to submit my Aadhaar, PAN and cancelled cheque for refund processing, which I did immediately. They later sent me an email confirming that my refund had been “successfully initiated” and would be credited within 15-20 working days. That never happened.

After that, I received another assurance over WhatsApp that the refund would be processed by the following Monday. Again, nothing happened.
I exhausted every available remedy before considering legal action:

Tata Motors Customer Care
National Consumer Helpline
CPGRAMS
Multiple reminder emails
Final warning email

Eventually, I got a legal notice issued through an advocate. Within a few days of the legal notice being served, the dealership refunded the principal amount of ₹5,609.

However, they did not pay:

Interest on the delayed refund
Legal notice expenses
Compensation for the months of delay, repeated false assurances and harassment

I have documentary evidence for everything, including:

Order confirmation
Cancellation confirmation
Proof of payment
Emails confirming that the refund had been initiated
WhatsApp conversations
NCH and CPGRAMS complaints
The legal notice
Proof that the refund was credited only after the legal notice

My question is:

Can I still file a consumer complaint before the District Consumer Commission seeking compensation, interest and litigation costs even though the principal refund has now been received?

Has anyone here pursued a consumer complaint after the opposite party refunded the principal amount only after receiving a legal notice? If yes, what was the outcome?

I’m not looking to misuse the legal system or make an unreasonable claim. My concern is that the refund was processed only after months of delay and only after legal intervention. I genuinely want to understand whether consumer law provides any remedy for that conduct itself.

Any advice would be appreciated.
