Badging Question

After multiple applications, I was finally given an interview and got an offer!

I was given instructions to go to the Grand Prairie site for badging, then make my way to my actual working site.

Does anyone know how long the process for getting the badge made is? I'm trying to gauge how early I should be.

Also if anyone has advice for new hire it'd be greatly appreciated!

Fresh out of college and at a crossroads in my early career, need advice

For context I'm 25M.

I graduated with an internship was given a return offer at a fairly well-known brokerage firm. The role is within client services and is your typical call center job.

While I'm grateful for the opportunity, the call center setup is not for me (lots of micromanaging), the role requires a two-year commitment where I am in a probationary period, the first few months is dedicated to getting licensed.

Only after the two years I will have a chance to explore departments outside of client services.

Additionally, I do have the option to decline starting with them now, and start in early 2027, but career-wise this puts me behind.

My other option is to keep looking for work. I would prefer not to start with the brokerage firm then leave in the middle, as it burns some bridges if I wished to return in a different department.

Do I bite the bullet and do the two-years? Or should I take a risk and keep applying myself elsewhere?

Any Schwab employees here that have experience moving their 401k out?

Possibly having a career change, I want to know if there’s anything I should be aware of or how that process will work.

Preferably want to know without having to reach out to the employee branch.
