Ankarana Tsingy is so underrated

When people talk about the Tsingy in Madagascar, Ankarana is often forgotten… and honestly, it deserves way more attention. 🫠
So here are a few photos to show you a little bit of the beauty of Tsingy Ankarana, in the north of Madagascar ( the Tsingy, caves, landscapes and some of the endemic wildlife you can find there)

Have you been to Ankarana yet? when are you coming to see it for yourself? Or when are we planning your trip there ?

Things I wish I knew before travelling to Madagascar 🇲🇬

Planning a trip to Madagascar? Here are a few things I genuinely think are worth knowing before you book anything.✈️🇲🇬

Don’t try to see everything in one trip. Madagascar is huge, and distances can be very deceptive. First ask yourself what you actually want from your trip: beaches and the sea, wildlife and nature, hiking, culture, unique landscapes, or a bit of everything. Then choose the region that matches what you want to experience. You’ll enjoy the country much more by doing a few places properly than by spending most of your holiday on the road.

Distances are misleading.
A journey of 200 km can sometimes take several hours because of road conditions. When planning your itinerary, don’t only look at the distance on Google Maps — look at the actual driving time.

Give yourself more time than you think. Madagascar is not a destination where you want to plan every day down to the minute. Road conditions, ferries, weather and unexpected stops can all affect your schedule.

Cash is still important.
Outside the main cities and tourist areas, cards aren’t always accepted. Having enough Ariary with you is definitely useful.

A local driver can make a big difference.
Having someone local who knows the roads, knows where it’s worth stopping and can adapt the itinerary when needed can make your trip much smoother.

Don’t underestimate the roads.
Some journeys are long, but they’re also part of the experience. You’ll pass through villages, rice fields, markets, zebu carts and landscapes you simply wouldn’t see from a plane.

Leave some room for the unexpected.
Some of the best moments in Madagascar happen when you stop somewhere you hadn’t planned to visit.

And finally, don’t come to Madagascar only for the lemurs and the Avenue of the Baobabs.
The people, local food, crafts, villages, landscapes and everyday life are just as much a part of the experience.✨

If you’re planning a trip to Madagascar and you’re not sure which region fits what you want to see, feel free to ask.📩

When people think about Madagascar, they often imagine its unique wildlife, breathtaking landscapes, baobab trees, and beautiful beaches…
But Madagascar is also a country of incredible craftsmanship, where traditions and skills have been passed down through generations. 🤩
Across the island, talented Malagasy artisans create beautiful handmade treasures:
🧺 Raffia craftsmanship – woven bags, hats, baskets, and traditional accessories

Why Andasibe deserves a spot on your Madagascar itinerary 🌿

Only 3–4 hours from Antananarivo (including a few photo stops because the scenery along the way is beautiful), Andasibe is one of the easiest and most rewarding places to visit in Madagascar.
Here’s why so many travelers love it:
🐒 Explore several parks and reserves where you can discover Madagascar’s unique wildlife and flora, including lemurs, chameleons, reptiles, frogs, endemic birds, and a wide variety of tropical plants and rainforest vegetation.
🌳 Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. If you’re looking to disconnect from busy city life and reconnect with nature, Andasibe is the perfect place.
🥾 Love hiking? You’ll find plenty of forest trails surrounded by lush rainforest, making it an excellent destination for nature walks and hiking.
🏨 Accommodation is available for every budget, from simple guesthouses to beautiful luxury lodges.
⏳ How long should you stay?
I’d recommend 2 nights. It gives you enough time to enjoy both day and night walks, visit different parks, and experience the rainforest without rushing.

If you’re visiting Madagascar for the first time, Andasibe definitely deserves a place on your itinerary! ☺️

Tsingy de Bemaraha 🇲🇬 — one of the most unforgettable places in Madagascar

The Tsingy of Bemaraha is definitely one of the must-see places when visiting Madagascar. 🌍✨
This incredible UNESCO World Heritage site feels like stepping into another world, with its impressive limestone pinnacles, caves, viewpoints, suspension bridges and unique landscapes.
Getting there is already an adventure! You can reach it by road from Antananarivo (a long but beautiful journey through Madagascar’s landscapes), or you can take a domestic flight with Madagascar Airlines from Antananarivo to Morondava and continue by car to Bekopaka.
For those looking for a more exclusive and time-saving experience, it’s also possible to fly privately from Antananarivo directly to Bekopaka.

Visiting the Lovers’ Baobabs in Madagascar 🌅💞 ( Morondava)

Yesterday, we took our clients to visit the Lovers’ Baobabs 💕

Every time I come here, this place never loses its magic. Standing side by side, these two ancient giants have become a symbol of love and resilience, surrounded by the incredible landscapes of western Madagascar.
Seeing our guests’ reactions reminded me why I love sharing my country with travellers. Some places aren’t just beautiful , they make you stop, breathe, and simply appreciate the moment.

Madagascar is full of places like this, with stories waiting to be discovered. ✨🇲🇬
Would the Lovers’ Baobabs be on your Madagascar bucket list?
