A silent storm inside my chest,

I scream for someone to look my way,

To see the pain to guess the rest,

And pull me from the fading gray.

Yet when a hand reaches out to hold,And eyes look down to meet my own

The courage leaves and sudden walls are quickly thrown.

I say how I'm fine and I lie and lie when I want to really say how I feel I can't

I want to be seen and heard but I'm afraid to make myself seen and heard

I haven't written in a month so I am a bit rusty

I stand beneath a silver veil

A ghost who has yet learned how to exhale

I am stone and stone is my home

I see people move on and I wonder if they still remember that i am gone

They move with purpose yet I move with uselessness

Maybe they'll have a use for me if they could see me

But yet I am stone and stone is my home

So I head back to my stone and crawl back into my hole

Maybe one day I'll be able to inhale
