It reads like Bond’s hit list, and it’s so satisfying just to see that continuity. Aside from him rummaging through his mementos in his desk in OHMSS, the Bond rogues gallery (in spite of the fact that the tropes are often mocked due to things arising like Austin Powers, Mr. Bean and the like) is so fascinatingly iconic that it just simply cannot be ignored.

And while I don’t mind that villains are occasionally downplayed in characterization and appearances in the more modern films, you can’t help but think in these modern times with so many people trying to stand out in an “influencer age,” that it’s not farfetched to have a villain emerge that evokes the energy of the classic gallery.

Certainly prophetic, if you interpret it that way. But thinking in terms of game mechanics, I thought it was foreshadowing that something bad was about to happen.

At least there’s an achievement tied to discovering the mural and staring at it for a while.
