Justine Bag - Raffia or Perforated Raffia

Ive always wanted one of these bags and im finally biting the bullet for my birthday. Just not sure which to choose - raffia plain or perforated? Anyone know if the perforated is more prone to fraying (saw on another post here that their perforated was fraying out of the box)?

I really love the darker color on the left as I feel it’ll go better with my deep skintone and outfits, but I love the design on the perforated more. Help me decide!

Does this appear to be a fake? Chlo Blouse Ecru

I’m looking to purchase this Chlo blouse secondhand and I found one that’s my size and listed as NWT, however I can’t tell if it’s real - it has an oddly pinkish hue to it. Was curious if someone could share real-life pics showing the true color. Thanks!

Please help me redesign my cookie cutter new build

I hate everything about it and almost wish I never bought it 😭 at the time, it seemed like a good idea. But now when I look at it, I just feel…empty. What can I do to
make it less stale/cold? It looks like every other new build in my area and I really, truly dislike it…

I’m really into Tudor-style, historical/english cottage homes, but I obviously can’t turn this into a Tudor…I’d like it to look more “dark academia”/kind of like “keep your kids off my lawn I’m a witch” but also cozy. The white paint just needs to go…open to re-painting the garage but would that look weird with the black roof? Should I add shutters? Change door? Add gold/brass fixtures? New landscaping? I love an olive green instead of the white but open to other similar-vibe colors. Right now it just looks too inviting with no character and I can’t stand it. Help :(

Is Stott Training worth it if you plan on teaching part time?

I’m considering enrolling in the Comprehensive STOTT/CMR program, and after tuition, materials, and the cert exam, my total investment would be around $7,500.

I’m a wfh mom of 2 young kids and currently work full-time as a software developer. While I make good income, I’m at the point where I feel like I’m doing my job because it’s what I know, not because I’m passionate about it. If I were ever let go, I don’t think I’d pursue another role in tech.

That said, I have no plans to leave my current job. My goal would be to continue working full-time while teaching Pilates part-time (maybe 3–5 classes per week, or more depending on the time). I genuinely love Pilates and would love to have it as a side gig doing something I truly enjoy.

For those of you who completed STOTT while keeping another full-time job, was it worth the time and cost? Were you able to recoup your investment teaching part-time, and if so, how long did it take? Any advice or things you wish you had known before starting?

Those of you who do both reformer and mat, how many times a week do you do each?

I’m “newish” to Pilates, I did reformer-only for about 6 months before I got pregnant, but I had a really rough pregnancy and had to stop. Then back in April at 8mo postpartum, I started back up doing mainly mat.

Right now I’m doing 2-3 mat and 1 reformer class each week. I also try to do at least 2 full-body strength-training sessions per week.

I honestly love Pilates so much, I’m thinking about getting teacher-certified in the future. But before I get ahead of myself, I was curious how many times a week are you doing each? I feel like I should be doing more reformer classes. Any tips would be appreciated!

*Repost* - Help this postpartum mom style her first adult outing!

EDIT:
Alright guys, I deleted my last post since it wouldn’t let me edit the photos. Didn’t realize how weird it looked blurring my own face and not others. It was my first time taking a fit pic in front of their annoyingly public dressing room, so please cut me some slack for not thinking twice 😅

Also to those who asked what Agolde jeans I’m wearing - they are the Ren Wide Leg Jean in 23P: https://agolde.com/products/ren-high-rise-wide-leg-petite-25-measure

ORIGINAL:
I’m 10 months postpartum and lost a lot of weight, which I’m very proud of. Problem is, I never get to go out for fun. I work from home, and spend time with my 2 kids when I’m not working.

My husband was invited to a get together at his coworker’s lake house this Friday, and I’m super excited to go. I just don’t know what to wear? I haven’t been in a social setting in a very long time so I’m really looking forward to it, but I’m struggling to find the right outfit.

Do any of these look appropriate to you for this kind of outing, or do you have any other suggestions from my closet? Anything that’s crossed out has been returned, and the rest are what I have to work it. Not pictured in my closet is the Shelly in Birch. I’m open to picking something else up from the store as well since I have 2 days until the event.

TIA for the help!

Should I keep either of them, or just buy the short and hem it?

First pic: Lodge 2XS
Second pic: Lodge XS
Both are Undyed Ecru in the linen crop length.

I’m 4’10 and learned from this sub that the crop length might actually work better for my height. However the inseam seems to hit at a really awkward spot on me, it’s not really “cropped”, but it’s not full length either. I also tried the short version of these pants but unfortunately they are still too long. I’m not a heel person (at most I’ll do 2in if I’m feeling fancy lol) so the short just wouldn’t work as is.

Would I be better off just buying the short length and having it hemmed? I really don’t like the weird “cropped but not really” situation going on right now... The XS works a little better because the extra length doesn’t look as awkward when I wear it as “low-rise”, but I don’t love it worn high-rise either.

So my questions are:
- Do we prefer the 2XS or the XS on my body?
- Should I skip the crop length altogether and get the short version hemmed?

I hate hemming my clothes, but if this length truly looks weird, I’ll do it. 😂

(Also don’t mind my background, my husband is currently reorganizing for a garage sale as I try on my clientele haul lol)

First big haul - thoughts?

Not a big Aritizia shopper but these are the items that I see myself actually using. Thoughts? Anything I should remove that might have quality issues?
