Anyone here had little to no response on semaglutide but succeeded after switching to tirzepatide?

I've been wondering how common this is.

I've been on semaglutide for a while and I'm currently at 1 mg. This is the first dose where I've noticed any appetite suppression at all, but it's been quite mild. Even then, the effect seems to taper off almost completely by day 5 after the injection, and by then it feels like I'm back to baseline. I'm curious if anyone else had a similar experience.

  • Did you go through the full semaglutide dose escalation (or even reach the maximum dose) before deciding it wasn't working?
  • Did you have little to no appetite suppression, fullness, reduced food noise, or meaningful weight loss on semaglutide?
  • What made you decide it was time to switch to tirzepatide?
  • Once you switched, did tirzepatide actually work better for you?
  • How long did it take before you noticed a difference?
  • Was the improvement obvious compared to semaglutide?

I'm especially interested in hearing from people who were genuine non-responders to semaglutide rather than those who switched because of side effects or supply issues.

1st month update on .25mg Ozempic

Honestly pretty disappointed so far. I’ve had almost zero appetite suppression this entire month and somehow ended up gaining 1.5kg. If anything, I felt hungrier compared to when I was just dieting and lifting naturally before Ozempic.

Only after the 4th dose did I finally notice some effect, around day 3 after the shot, blessed along with metallic burps, bloating, gas and loose motions.

I also became inconsistent with workouts because I expected the starter dose to work magically much faster and that I'd be a fast responder.

Seeing my endo tomorrow and probably asking for a dose increase. Hoping month 2 goes a lot better.

Somuch leftover liquid after taking my 4th dose

Finished my 4th shot on the 0.25mg Ozempic pen today and noticed there’s still more than half the liquid left in the pen. I also ran out of needles.

A bit confused now:

- I know some leftover liquid is normal but is this much normal in these pens?

- Can the remaining liquid still be used somehow instead of wasting it?

- I’m planning to move up to 0.5mg because I’ve had basically no appetite suppression or noticeable effect at 0.25mg.

- The pen also won’t turn past the 0.25mg mark, so I’m not sure if it’s physically locked to starter dosing only.

I’ll be meeting my endocrinologist soon and will follow their advice before changing dose, but wanted to ask people here:

- Has anyone reused the leftover medication from a 0.25mg pen?

- Can extra needles be bought separately and used safely with the same pen?

- Is there any proper/safe way people combine leftover doses to make a 0.5mg shot?
