I got overwhelmed and ruined the day (again!), advice?

Last summer, I went to the beach with my boyfriend. I love him and I love the beach so I was excited. I ended up getting overwhelmed and crying when water got in my face because I don’t like my face getting wet. Then after the ocean, my hair got messed up (because I didn’t plan to get it all wet and I didn’t bring hair supplies, and my hair does NOT air dry well), and I started crying again because I felt so ugly. He is wonderful and helped me but I cried through dinner and felt so embarrassed.

So now this summer, we planned another beach day. I was super excited, feeling optimistic and determined to make it an awesome day and not be like how I was last year.

In the morning, he mentioned the last time he was at this area was years ago with his ex, which I told him I don’t really love hearing and he apologized for saying it, but it unsettled my body and put more pressure on myself to make it a fun day when I was already feeling pressure from myself internally because of what happened last year.

I made it worse.

I was wearing a new swimsuit that is more revealing than I’m used to so I was on-edge, the water was cold, my face got wet again, salt water in my eyes, and I started crying in the ocean. AGAIN. I got upset with myself because that’s the EXACT thing I was purposely trying to not do again. Thankfully, my hair dried decent because this time I came prepared with products. But then later while walking, it was really hot, it was a long day, and I had barely eaten anything that whole day, and I was feeling overwhelmed and shutting down. My thoughts get really slow when I’m like that, I zone out a lot, and my voice gets higher pitched (which I hate because I feel like I’m baby talking but I literally cannot help it)

At the end of the night at his house, I ended up crying so hard that I don’t like myself and I had ruined the day again. It’s not entirely true because I really do like a lot of parts of myself, but not the part of me that gets like this. I’m 28 and I feel so immature when I get overwhelmed and I can’t snap out of it. And then I end up spiraling because I’m angry at myself for not snapping out of it, which then makes it 100x worse and impossible to get out of.

He eventually told me to go home because he could tell I needed sleep, which was true; I was exhausted and only sleep would help, but it felt horrible leaving the night like that. I ruined a beach day a 2nd year in a row, and additionally I definitely did not make that day better than whatever time he had there with his (neurotypical) ex.

The thing is my boyfriend is wonderful and patient and supportive and helps me through everything, and reminds me a hundred times a day how loved I am. I just wish he didn’t have to. I don’t want to be so fragile. (I’m not all the time, but when I’m overwhelmed/overstimulated, or shutting/melting down, and unable to stop it, I feel so bad about myself). It feels like he’s working to take care of me instead of spending a fun relaxing day with me. It’s horribly embarrassing and not fair to him, no matter how nice he is about it, it’s just not.

Does anyone have advice for how to snap out of those moments? Or at least relate?

TALK SOME SENSE INTO ME. PLEASE. (Past hookups)

I find myself getting insecure about certain things, but in a way that I know is hypocritical. But it still makes me uncomfortable even though I know I don't really have a right to be upset. Here's the rundown:

- Been together 2 years, late 20s, serious relationship, very much in love

- He is my first full irl sexual partner

- He had 4 before me (1 gf, 3 casual hookups). Those hookups happened in 2023, and for reference we got together in 2024. I have no idea who they were.

- The gf doesn't bother me because that's normal, and it was also a long time ago. The 3 casual ones haunt me more because I just don't understand how that stuff works. I'm level 1 autistic btw.

- He is my first officially, but I don't consider myself inexperienced because prior to him, I did a lot of Facetime sex and kink things with a long-distance ex for years. And prior to that, I was doing a lot of video/phone sex/kink/pics with a lottttt of random people online (I was stupid yes okay hush it's in the past). I know some people wouldn't consider that to be "experience" because it isn't physical, but personally my headspace/imagination is able to make those things very real, so to me I do consider it a sort of history.

- But as much as I did say I consider mine real........I'm aware it isn't the same thing as physical. It just breaks my heart to think of him doing that stuff with some stranger. Also because it wasn't that long before we got together.

- I feel like a hypocrite because if I compare it to my own past, I know that I couldn't care less about any guy I shared pics with or had video/phone sex with. I know those things can be casual and meaningless. I know they were for me. I know that if my bf expressed any insecurity about my past, I would be flabbergasted because those people mean literally sub-zero-percent to me, and I would reassure him a thousand times that they have no impact on our relationship.

- But.....what if men are different!! I don't know!! Maybe men don't forget hot naked girls lol!! Maybe men don't forget how good it felt lol!! It's so stupid but I'm afraid of being compared. And I just don't know how casual sex feels because I haven't done it. Do you just...do that and leave? Picturing it HAUNTS ME.

- So I guess what I'm asking is, for the people who have had ONS's or casual hookups, how does it feel after you're in a committed relationship later? Does anything linger? Do those times matter literally at all anymore?

I know I need to stop, and trust me, I WANT to stop. The logical part of me is completely aware that this is very normal in society, and I don't care at all if I hear about it with a friend or anyone else. It just still hurts when it's someone I love :(

*(I know you'll say to talk to him about it; I already did, and of course he said it meant nothing, but what else is he gonna say lol he's my bf! I'm also afraid of bringing it up too much and sounding like a stereotypical girl who gets clingy to the first guy she does it with. It makes me feel more insecure. So I'm just asking other people objectively out of curiosity of hearing other perspectives, how do you feel about your past hookups once you're in a serious relationship?)*

Hi! I want to get my boyfriend a Nathan squish (the orange cat) in a 20 inch or 24 inch. Do they even exist? The biggest I can find consistently is 16".

I found this one and this one on Poshmark but...idk they don't look like 20/24 inches to me, despite being labeled like that in the title. The ratio to the hand holding it especially gives me pause.

Has anyone ever seen a jumbo Nathan before? Any tips for shopping for squish? Any advice is greatly appreciated!! :)
