Escape boondocker sizing question

Hi, I'm interested in the escape boondockers. I normally wear an 11.5d in red wing iron rangers and the fit is perfect. According to the luos jiet sizing chart, I should go for a size 46 accordingly. That said, my EU size is normally 45 and I'm a little worried a 46 will be too big. Anyone got any experience they can share? Thanks in advance!

Haven't seen many posts on here about Greek handmade boots before so thought this might be of interest to some...

Was on holiday in Crete recently, rummaging through the usual tourist shops full of leather belts and sandals. Whilst Crete used to have a big boot making industry in chania decades ago, my understanding was that this has all now ceased. So I was pretty surprised to come across these beauties, clearly handmade and labelled in greek. A bit of online research reveals that alas, they are not made in chania but they are made in Athens, apparently by ' primikiris bros'. Further research suggests they market them under the name 'crossroads footwear'.

In terms of the boots themselves, they're a simple stitchdown chukka, made from a decent quality rough out leather, lined only in the vamp and with a different tone suede tongue. There are obvious imperfections in the stitching and a few blemishes here and there making me think they were factory seconds maybe... That said, they're solidly built and very comfortable. Remind me quite a lot of Jim green vellies...

Overall, I'm really impressed with these and I'll be following the makers brand. If I'm in Athens in future I'll stop by crossroads boots and update the review.
