It's not just this subreddit, I've also seen this in literally all of them (especially Thursday). For some, this is their first pair of boots. or first time ordering. BTW, the meme I posted is complete satire and is meant to be a joke, however it seems like it's the most frequently asked question.

While I do appreciate Louie boots for giving advice on getting your correct size. My only complaint, is that I would prefer they they just have a printable sheet that one can print at home, or have an additional column in the sizing shee that's in CMs.

Its what I've been doing to ensure I get a fit in my boots. Louies doesn't do that and I wish it did so that people would be able to know what size they should get.

So as you figured out I made my 2nd pair order and am counting the days to receive yet another Indiana boot, this time more custom than the Red Bricks. I was looking to add a black more sturdy boot to my wardrobe and I wanted to combine the great fit of the Indiana last on my specific wide high volume high instep feet. So I got working on some designs with the help of trusted sidekick gemini and behold..

I chose to get my 2nd pair in the same size 42 but in E width after realizing that after the 42D FULLY broke in, the fit was perfect (aside from the D width still snug but ok). The heel compressed and molded and my foot got locked in further back leaving a toe gap of 1 to 1.2cm or a full thumb which is great. No need to move up a size as I like a glove like performance fit and they didn't look short from the top anymore after the quarters closed more and the lace gap is now 3cm.

The people at Luosjiet were once again super helpful and accommodating. I shot my specs list on the info@luosjiet.com email and asked on feasibility. Once confirmed I was given a custom link to order and that was that. Easy breezy. Now I have to wait for them to arrive which is the worst part for any heritage boot enthusiast...

Black full grain teacore leather, (like the plain toe almond logger)

A Midsole with 360 storm welt, (treated with the welt like the logger boot in dark brown dressing)

No speed hooks, all eyelets, (same brass color as Red Brick eyelets)

This new release looks awesome. I am curious if anyone has boots in this leather. I would love some black boots from Luosjiet, but there are so many leathers to pick from. I'm not a fan of teacore, so I'm considering either these or waxed flesh. I was able to find plenty of waxed flesh photos, but not much on that black full grain. Does anyone have them? Also thinking of requesting custom on black wedge sole

I just got these and am very pleased with them! I tend to lean towards classic British styles, mostly Tricker’s, but these City Moc Toe Boots in teacore brown are just fantastic.

The build quality is excellent. I’m a gal who loves a good pair of boots, and these caught my eye!

My only issue is the stiffness of the leather. I’m not used to boots this stiff, and the tops around my ankles are rubbing quite badly. I’m wearing them around the house for now, with moleskin over the areas that rub, and hoping I’ll be able to wear them outside soon.

Any tips for breaking them in beyond simply wearing them and massaging the leather? They feel great everywhere else, so I’m hoping it’s just a matter of softening up the leather around the ankles. I’d love to hear what’s worked for others!
