Tiny, white and fuzzy

He's pretty teenie... maybe half a centimeter? Tried Google with no success. Found in a rural home in Southwestern Ontario, Canada.

Any idea what/who this is?

I'll add another picture of this leaf in the comments because I couldn't add a 2nd picture here. This is obviously magnified but any ideas if this is something worrisome? Thanks!

Help with these spots please

I have this really happy rangsan splash that keeps putting out leaves and new blooms but it has two leaves with these spots. One of the leaves is also shriveling up. They aren't on the same vine but they are positioned near each other. I'll add a second pic in comments because I can't seem to add another one here. Any insights are much appreciated!

Caron blossom cakes vs Bernat softee cotton for a summer throw

I'm looking to make a soft summer throw that won't be itchy to use when wearing shorts. I've narrowed it down to either Bernat softee cotton or Caron blossom cakes and I was wondering what people thought about either choice. Do you find that one works up way softer than the other? Am I missing another option? I'm thinking specifically variegated yarns so that there are different colours without having to change colours. I'm probably either going to use moss stitch or maybe a granny ripple. I'd love to hear what summer blankets you guys have made!

Seeking tips from anyone who's made a ridiculously large blanket please!

I love making Afghans so much that I've decided to go all in and make a king size blanket for my bed. I'm very excited to start this project and am in the planning stage right now.

Does anyone have any suggestions for types of yarn (or brands) for a blanket that will be both soft to touch and resilient? Something that won't fuzz up too much and still look great as time goes by? I'd rather not go through online sellers because I'd like to physically see and touch the yarn before starting. Also, I'm in Canada so I would love suggestions that are available through Canadian retailers like Michaels, Mary Maxim or even Walmart. As much as I love to support small retailers I don't think I'll be able to afford to with such a big project!

If you have any tips I'd really welcome them! Any favourite patterns or styles? And how do you wash a giant blanket anyhow? How has your blanket stood up a year or more later? I'd love to hear about anything related to making a gigantic blanket! Thanks!

Abandoned nest

We were thrilled to find a robin's nest on a limb in our yard! Mom would yell at us at first but seemingly began to tolerate us. We gave her space and just went to our car and back and left her alone. Not even two weeks later there's no sign of her and we checked the nest and it's completely empty. No sign of anything in the nest or on the ground! Any idea of what might have happened?

We have a lot of grackles, starlings and predatory birds around as we're out in the country. Do robins make decoy nests? I just don't get it because she sat there for almost two weeks and now there's no sign of anything.

I'm looking to border this blanket and would like to keep it to something light to complement the mesh. Would you recommend just a couple rows of single crochet? What's your go-to? I've never made a border before but at the same time I don't mind trying a new stitch. Thanks!
