[WTS] Vaer C5 Field Black Solar 40mm USA – $195 shipped

Up for sale is my Vaer C5 Field Black Solar 40mm USA.

The watch is in good used condition and has been worn and enjoyed. There is normal cosmetic wear on the bezel, including some visible surface scratches, which I’ve tried to capture clearly in the photos. Nothing major, but I want to be transparent about the condition.

The crystal is excellent with no scratches, and the watch is functioning perfectly.

Sale includes:
• Vaer C5 Field Black Solar 40mm USA
• Black silicone strap

No box or papers.

Current retail price is $349 plus tax, and the watch is currently sold out through Vaer. For reference, Vaer’s pre-owned site has listed an Excellent-condition example at $259 and a Fair-to-Good example at $219.

Asking $195 shipped CONUS via PayPal G&S.

Happy to provide additional photos or answer any questions. Thanks for looking!

What is everybody's honest take on Vaer?

I discovered Vaer in July 2025 and pretty quickly became obsessed. I now own three C5s: the Korean Field, Field Black, and Tactical.

My experience has been mostly positive, although I’ve had a few hiccups along the way. My Korean had a funky issue with the second hand when setting the time. Vaer was super cool about trying to fix it, and when the watch ended up getting damaged during that process, they replaced it.

Then my C5 Field Black had what looked like a misaligned date wheel, and they replaced that one too. My Tactical, on the other hand, has been perfect from day one.

I’ve also bought a couple of their straps and ended up returning them because I felt the quality was a little inconsistent.

That said, one thing I really can’t fault is their customer service. Every interaction I’ve had with them has been friendly and helpful, and they’ve always made a genuine effort to find a solution when I’ve had an issue. That goes a long way with me.

I’m curious what other Vaer owners think after living with their watches for a while. How has the quality and reliability been for you? How do you think they stack up against other watches in the same general price range?

I still really like the brand, although I may eventually trim my Vaer collection down by one since my C5 Field Black is getting less and less wrist time these days.

Basically, I’m curious whether my positive impression of Vaer is pretty typical. What’s the real-world consensus on the brand?

My little G-Shock collection

I think I’ve finally landed on my G-Shock foursome. Each one scratches a slightly different itch, and they all actually get worn.

Left to right:

• GW-BX5600-1
• DW-5600UE-1
• GA-B2100C-9A
• GA-B2100-1A

The DW gives me the simple, classic square I love, while the new BX gives me the modern version of that idea. Then I’ve got the black CasiOak as the understated analog option and the yellow one for when subtlety isn’t really the goal. 😂

Recently sold my GW-M5610U after realizing the BX and DW basically covered what I wanted from it. For the first time in a while, I’m pretty content with the G-Shock lineup.

Famous last words, obviously.

Finally got it on the Horween.

Yes, it was so expensive — basically 30% the cost of the watch. However, I don’t think my C5 Korean has ever looked better. Wow.
