I have 7in wrists
it took 7 days to get to me even though i selected the free default 2 day shipping...
it feels lighter than my Seiko SRPK91
under heavy magnification, the dial is clean, no dust or finger prints
the seconds dial is a sun dial nice contrast against the lacquer black main dial
case height is not an issue for me
readability is great
Lume is GREAT
I’m trying to consolidate my collection and I only took this and one other watch (a D4 OK Diver) on my roadtrip and have been loving the simplicity of just the two watch choice.
Posted over on watchex, asking 120, switching over from my u/imadeapoopie account to this one.
I’m usually biking instead of hiking, but today my coworker led us through about 6 miles of Austin, TX greenbelt this morning. Total sweaty mess, and the watch was terrific and in its element.
I always wanted a Dirty Dozen watch but don’t want to spring for a Vertex at this time. I loved the clean design of the Vaer Dirty Dozens. I think it’s the best of the homages from a very well reputed brand. How does it look on the subdued grey/black NATO?
Such a comfortable wear. So far so good and can't find a bad strap for it.
Wanted a white dial and GADA for the weekends with my kids. Opted for the quartz so I could just grab it and go. For the price, I’m quite pleased with it! Nice that they are from LA too, since thats where I live. May take a trip down to their showroom in Venice soon. Pleasantly surprised with the outcome.
I've had my C4 solar (DLC in all black) for about a week now after my friend's recommendation and it's quickly become one of my favorite 'throw-on' watches in the box. So much so that I haven't even had the chance to try other straps. It's been in the kitchen, working in the yard, on runs, and at concerts.
It feels solid, 41.5mm actually looks nice on a 7" wrist (never mind my photo angle here, i think it appears smaller), and the lume is bright. Love the raised numerals and dial layout.
My only nitpick here is that my seconds aren't quite aligned but I understand lots of Vaers have that. For the money it's been a ton of fun. I'm not a tactical/outdoorsy/hunting/fishing guy that would warrant this watch but I took a chance and glad I did.
I don’t really care about solar vs quartz. I do prefer the date at 6 vs 3 but it isn’t a dealbreaker. Is the quality of the ceramic bezel and different glass that big an upgrade? I’m looking at the navy blue 42mm.
Current collection including some older Seiko Kinetic models from the 90’s. New additions featuring Longines Spirit Pilot, Tudor Bb54 Lagoon Blue, Seiko SSC961 Speedtimer, SPB453 62MAS, and Vaer Dirty Dozen 40mm. Also trying some Bond style NATO straps.
