Montreal: what did Damon say (“Vive La” something)?
It was near the start of the show, and then he said, “I’m not sure how you all feel about that.”

I am listening to the Fela Kuti: Fear No Man podcast, which is awesome and I strongly recommend. Fela was a big influence on Trey, and I see a lot of similarity between meditative grooves Phish and Fela created. About 20 minutes into episode 3 (“Enter the Shrine”) of the podcast, there is a description of getting into a repeating riff so far that something changes in you and you open up to a newly receptive place; made me think of many Phish experiences I’ve had!
