Some thoughts about the concert:

  1. My first time seeing them live, was everything I could hope it would be.

  2. Maybe its just Denmark and I'm new here but the crowd was DEAD. Absolute silence between songs to the point where it was awkward, could hear music from the other stages loud and clear. Crowd was pretty non-committal and had to be really pushed, it was almost as if everyone was, I don't really have a word for it, extra polite? Would only respond if asked to. In the end, it felt like it ended just as things were getting warmed up.

  3. Played just a couple of songs from the new album which was weird because this is the Mountain tour. But then I had conversations with people around me in the pit and except for maybe 2 people nobody really wanted to hear the new stuff or had even heard of the new stuff anyway which was sad to see.

  4. Roskilde in general has some serious sound issues; was at BB Trickz earlier in the day and she had to get her guitarist off the stage and on multiple times because for whatever reason things just werent working out. In the end she improvised but you could see how it threw them all off each time. Lots of overlap with the sound at Little Simz and the same for Gorillaz. Was even more pronounced right at the front. Hope they do better next year.

Still waiting on pre-order copy of Deluxe Edition vinyl of The Mountain

Making this post on the off chance that someone from the official Gorillaz store team sees this.

Its been months of waiting for this even though I got a shipping confirmation back in Feb. I preordered in Sept 2025 on day one of album announcement. The Gorillaz Store has been giving nothing but uncertain answers about stock and availability, and im starting to doubt that I’ll ever receive my order because they didnt make enough. This happening to anyone else?

House of Kong experience

Hey I was really excited for House of Kong to come to NY after seeing some pics from London and LA, but now I am seeing that they only give you an hour in the exhibit. I’m just wondering from those who have been what to expect, is it worth it, and if you think the hour would be enough time to truly experience whatever they have to offer. The price is kinda holding me back too cause I probably wanna buy merch there too. Do y’all think the merch was cool too. I’m asking a lot I guess and starting to ramble so any reviews or opinions are appreciated.

TL;DR Is House of Kong worth it?

Edit: Thanks people I bought a ticket I am more excited now

The Ultimate Album, pt. 1

Over the past 3 months I've been making my way through the Gorillaz discography (skipping alternate side tracks and Laika, because I don't like how they sound) and I'm wanting to create an ultimate gorillaz Playlist. I plan on making two:

  1. Every gorillaz song in its album position is ranked against each other, and a winner is selected (excluding interludes). This will create a 19 song long album from, hopefully, all playlists.

  2. To counter the flaw of 1 (Gorillaz placing their more "popular" songs [ex: Tomorrow Comes Today, and Rhinestone Eyes] in the same position on albums) ill create a much larger Playlist of all of the gorillaz songs that I enjoy. I'll be a little critical to avoid creating a Playlist of every song ever made.

I have a question?

Why did Damon say Leviathan didn't fit Plastic Beach's vibe but released Glitter Freeze? Tbh, I would much rather have Leviathan. Both The Uncle Murdoc and The Cat both made some fan-made versions and I loved them! So, the question is: Why did Damon release Glitter Freeze but not Leviathan?

Gorillaz self-titled. Demon Days. Plastic Beach. The Mountain. The four Gorillaz masterpieces I can't live without. However, there is no such thing as a bad Gorillaz album! What are your favourite Gorillaz albums?

P.s. just to add that Humanz and the Meanwhile EP are underrated, and Désolé is the best track on Song Machine.

Jamie designing Russel

Russel's appreciation post. He's so beautiful, I love his eyelashes. I think my favorite design of him is from phase 6, and in the actual phase. 🦍🫶

P.S.: I kinda wanted to find an excuse to use that meme with him, but it seems Jamie always imagined him as a beautiful fat black male even in the early sketches.
