how to deal with dry hair from hot, humid weather?

hi! i've decided to start taking care of my hair 2 years ago, and everything was going great until summer started (moved to my home country in africa..). it's extremely hot and humid where i currently live, so my hair goes frizzy very quickly and dry even quicker no matter what i do to it, despite it being relatively soft and shiny during winter even if i didn't do much to it. now whenever i wash my hair it's pretty soft for like.. three hours max, then it goes really dry and kind of like straw.

my routine consists of:

  1. herbal essences curl hydrator shampoo and conditioner (bounced around with a bunch of shampoos, but this one works best for me so far.)
  2. karseell hair mask (only twice a week)
  3. squeeze out just some of the excess water, then use vollarey leave in cream and eva hair gel (local brand, sorry!), brush it out with a curl brush and i finger coil my bangs, and i leave it to air dry
  4. use juuust a bit of rosemary oil (label was taken off of the bottle, sorry.)

i wash my hair every 3-4 days and i braid it to sleep and usually sleep with a silk scarf on. i don't really know how to refresh my hair, but i just add a little bit of oil whenever needed. i'm not exactly knowledgeable when it comes to haircare unfortunately

some extra information is that ive completely stopped using heat on my hair (that includes blowdrying it) and i've gotten a pretty big chop 3 months ago since the hair was relaxed and had really bad heat damage (from my hip to above my shoulders) and it's made everything somewhat more manageable for me since i had way too much hair but it's still a little too thick for me. sorry for the lack of a photo, i cannot share my hair due to religious reasons :( but my hair type is 2c and my hair strands are quite thick. thanks in advance!

bird that sounds like an old man attempting to breathe with a congested nose. egypt, very close to the mediterranean sea

sorry if it's not loud/clear enough (and for the barking lmao). this bird is only around during summertime especially at night (from 9pm till right before sunrise) and it makes these noises nonstop while it's around. unfortunately due to my poor vision and horrible camera i can't exactly see it well but i can tell it's brown and quite slim (sorry for the lack of a picture,,,). help would be appreciated!

found this on the gram

OP claims that his brother has had this vest for 10-15 years now but these patches look pretty brand new to me 🤷‍♂️
