Tuono 457 for a new rider?

Hey gang! I'm a brand new rider shopping for my first bike after doing my MSF course and I came across an insane deal on a new 2026 Tuono 457. Kind of deal that sounds too good to be true but it's real.
Would y'all recommend this bike for someone new? I live in the US so I do a mix of street and highway driving, I don't have riding experience outside the MSF so I want to take it slow at first and really learn on the machine.

2024 Duke 390 for a new rider?

Hey! I come here asking for advice as a brand new rider. I got my MSF Certification last weekend and I'm shopping for small displacement motorcycles, and I saw a dealership in my area has a used Duke 390 with about 1600 miles on it. On the pictures it looks pretty much new condition, other than an aftermarket exhaust and a tail tidy.
Is this a good bike for someone like me with no riding experience outside the MSF? I'm mostly worried it might have reliability issues and I won't have a warranty since it's used.

Passed MSF on my second try, don't give up!

Hey gang, a few weeks ago I made a pretty doomer post after I failed my MSF skills test, saying how I was so discouraged and thinking about throwing the towel. A week later I decided to take a private lesson to iron things out, and I passed the test on my second try!

Just wanted to thank everyone in this sub who encouraged me to try again and gave me advice. I still have SO MUCH to learn and practice, but now I have specifics on what and where to improve and knowing I can do it legally is a big sigh of relief for me.

I ended up losing the deal I had on a new MT-03 I was looking at, but it might have been a blessing in disguise since the dealership wanted to charge me way too much on extra fees. Now I'm looking at a barely used Duke 390 that's going to be a lot more affordable and in my opinion looks better. Can't wait to go out and kill the streets <3 See you all there!

Failed MSF course

I just finished my MSF course and I dropped the bike during evaluation. Frustrating feeling because I did the U-turn with no issues and ended up dropping the bike at a point where I hadn’t messed up at all so far throughout the weekend.
Now I’m tired, hurting, disappointed, and second guessing myself. I have a deposit on a bike but after this weekend I don’t know if I’m better off giving up and saving my money. Already spent $1200 between gear and the course, and tbh I don’t feel confident enough to pass a retest without extra training.
My instructor told me I don’t have good control over the clutch and throttle and tbh I don’t understand how people get it so quickly, the friction zone is so hard to keep steady and maintaining a steady throttle in 1st gear feels like I’m just praying.
Not sure what to do or think.

Dealing with anxiety as someone about to get my first motorcycle

I just got my set of gear, put down a deposit for the bike I want (MT-03) and signed up for the MSF course, but the reality of it suddenly hit me, and about half the people I've talked to have tried really hard to discourage me from doing it.

I know I've taken basically every precaution I can but I can't help but feel anxious and scared about what it'll actually be to ride a bike on the street where I can't control everything that happens and people have all these horror stories. Doesn't help that I live in an area where drivers aren't the most careful.

Any advice on dealing with these feelings? I know I want to do it but I'm a bit shaken up right now.
