I've used Claude code for nearly a year now. I started using it quite skeptical of its capabilities, thinking of it as less capable than a junior programmer, when it comes to integrate into big projects.

But, at the moment, after having learnt how to stir it, I feel it is perfectly capable of doing senior work. Of course it still needs some guidance, but that's because in the initial documents the human is not clear of what it wants.

Maybe, after using it for several medium sized projects, it has learned a few things. The same as we humans have learned, improved our interaction. And the results are astonishing. If at the beginning it was working autonomously for a few minutes, now it easily goes a few hours (other users report nearly a day nonstop.)

So, advanced users of Claude Code, do you also think CC is way more than a junior programmer? Almost a senior? A senior? An architect?

Am I the only one who likes to over-engineer programs? Especially now with the aid of AI.

Like, using only P-cores to do some intensive math in parallel, instead of just petting the os to decide.

What is your pride of over-engineered solution?

I was brainstorming a project about simulating a company on VM using AD. I was thinking that Fable 5 would be great to think about it, when to my surprise it downgraded to Opus... Quite ridiculous!

What other ridiculous things have you come across with fable 5 downgrading?

Some month ago there was a boom of comments that many SaaS would disappear. Do you know any real case of SaaS going bankrupt? Or that at least many vibecoders are building their own.

What CLI tools have you developed for your own and would like to share to the programmer, devops, sysadmin, etc...

I have three tools:

- a stdout to clipboard tools

- a github action watcher on CLI and TUI

- a Markdown TUI nice rendering

- a LiveTree directory viewer with live updates when files change

I'm have several Linux/Ubuntu machines I wan to do a backup plan. The issue is that users install and uninstall often new software/packages and I think they would benefit from snapshots of their system before adding somethign new and if not working then uninstall. Or viceversa. I've seen it in some uninstaller apps on Windows.

To do this I've read btrfs is a good file system. I do not need stay with ext4. I rather have optimal snap shots of my system than an ultra fast ext4.

So, is btrfs the optimal choice or somethign else?
