I'm still fucking awestruck from Friday night. I have so much appreciation for this experience and I needed to shout my thanks into the void. I hope you'll join me if you were there and you feel the same way.

This performance was absolutely incredible. I was honored that they wore the suits for us and they absolutely meant business.

If I'm not mistaken this may be the most hip hop heavy set on the tour with all the wonderful NY nods they had in there and I'm grateful to have had the opportunity to be there.

The stage design and visual effects were my favorite from any show I've attended. I want their team to know how much I appreciate their contribution to this performance too.

That laboratory was such a crisp set, the on screen visuals felt like a respectful tribute to all their influences and the fucking satellite 📡 dish bro. Oh my God that thing was truly chef's kiss! 🤌🔥

The way it hid behind the screen and only revealed itself to the crowd under such intentional circumstances was immaculate. The way they channeled illuminated vapor around it was artful and unique.

I'm a regular ass peasant from Maine and I probably couldn't responsibly afford coming down the first time but I was not going to walk away with a refund. My wife and I doubled down and booked plane tickets so we could return to the return and it was worth every damn penny. Thank you DC, Hooks, the crew, the openers, and everyone we interacted with for making this the journey of a lifetime.

If you got a piece of the candi I brought just know that even if we didn't connect via social media, I love you and I think of you as my friend. I hope you have a trinket shelf or a place to keep the memory. 🫶

Some gems from NYC this past weekend.

Big fucking props to Zoot and Wombat because they have to be the names I saw the most. They are dedicated to the craft and the spots they hit give me chills thinking about the risks they take to get up.

I wonder if they know they have middle aged fanboys from far away places?

I spotted that Neck Face tag and yelped like I saw the man himself.

NYC Plan B?

I have not seen an update from the venue and I'm hoping to watch the boys play tonight, with or without the rain.

I'm also wondering what people have in mind for a plan B to pivot to just in case the show is cancelled.

We traveled from far away and can't afford to come back down for another performance anytime soon so my intention is to make the most of tonight no matter what. So please flood this thread with things people are doing or are considering doing?

Forest Hills: Afters, merch, popups, etc?

My wife and I are coming down by train from Maine for our first show in NYC and our first time seeing the boys. Literally the journey of a lifetime.

What can we expect and where can we stay informed about stuff like Afters, popups, and merch?

Also we're going to be staying in Flushing from the 17th to the 20th, anything local that anyone thinks would be of interest is greatly appreciated.

We can't wait to put our Zs in the air with y'all! 🫶

Another rusty bucket of signatures

Shot these almost a couple weeks ago and neglected to share them. I hope someone sees something they enjoy.

A chance encounter with a few cars that were too heavy to get up a small hill on the first run.

These cars were parked on a random stretch of track through my town. This is not a siding or a railyard. While I was taking these pictures I heard the train coming back for the cars.

I was taking pictures of the train as it arrived and the engineer who had been poking his head out the window shot the shit with me for a few.

He said that they left those cars off the end and had to come back for them because the slight incline was just a little too much with all the weight.

The cars had been parked directly beneath a footbridge I've walked across since I was a kid. It was the first time in my life that I didn't have to use my imagination to wonder how far below it a train cars roof sits.
