Virginia native species that do well in clay and full sun?
I want to help native plants that support wildlife take over the yard but I don't know where to begin. We live with a line of sight to the Potomac I think in Zone 7 (b?). Our yard is basically clay and gets full sun. I would love to have a yard covered in wild strawberries and other native species where you would normally expect to see grass.

Feels good not being afraid to use your knife for whatever (even a little prying!)
