Quest Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough bars are fiber bars disguised as protein

In case anyone else is unaware, depending on your region, Quest chocolate chip cookie dough bars have 12-14 grams of fiber. As someone who recently had abdominal surgery and was just looking for some protein I should have noticed this before I ate one and input it into my tracking app. It was a surprise and it is not the type of fiber I would choose to have currently on a tight healing stomach. I will be paying the price for a while. It's not the same kind of soluble fiber as something like psyllium.

Kimchi stew

Had some old kimchi and a piece of pork so I made some kimchi stew for lunch/meal prep. I just add the tofu before I eat. Added a bunch of veggies to make it more filling...carrot, onion, potato, shiitake, and some extra cabbage.

Black pepper Parm Focaccia Sourdough

Tried my hand at sourdough focaccia. Needs a little more work. I am not sure if adding a layer of cheese before the final rise means it needs more oven time of if the cheese in the middle just prevents a good bake, but it tastes like a nice grilled cheese so still a win in my book. I'll probably only cheese the top next time.

Gochujang Shrimp and veggie stir fry

Honestly, I got carried away with the veggies here and this was too much. Also I need to grocery shop so this was the last of my frozen shrimp, not quite as much protein as I would prefer, but it was yummy and I couldn't finish all the vegetables.

Potato waffles

I am currently obsessed with making potato or veggie waffles. Today is mashed potatoes with feta & seasonings (no binder). You know it's done when it's crispy enough to stop sticking to the waffles maker. I was feeling cheesy today which does add a fair amount of extra calories.

Lunch - chicken shepherds pie

I intended for this to be split in half, but it was great and I was hungry so I ate it all. <800 calories.

Ground chicken, herbs from my garden, 2 carrots, Idahoan instant potatoes original, 2 servings 20 grams of butter and some seasonings.

If you're wondering, I had baked miso fish broccoli and a side of leftover rice for dinner, plus my standard supplements psyllium, collagen and lots of herbal tea and water to finish the day.

Strawberry Peanut butter yogurt bars

I wanted a sweet frozen treat so I mixed up some green yogurt with PB2, maple syrup, protein powder and strawberries, melted a chocolate bar, frozen it and cut into 16 portions so I can easily control my portion size 1 or 2 bars. Pretty good.

12 days of automatic vacation watering

I set up 2 watering zones. One for 8 min/day & one for 2 min/day. No watering for the dryer herbs, as I assumed they would be fine on whatever rain was received (Okinawa so certain of showers this time of year). They did great. I will rearrange a bit in a day or two now to give more room to the larger plants and more/less sun as needed for everything, but I am overall satisfied wtih this setup for travel/anytime I can't carefully care for everything.

Open to any other good suggestions for automation/travel care.

I got my 2 zone automatic watering setup this morning. It's a switch from 1 zone last year as I've add a few more thirsty plants this year. I'm leaving on vacation for 10 days tomorrow so I hope I'm returning to healthy green plants and not dry dying ones. I like this in theory, but I need to do some more work on properly hanging the sprayers. It's fine for now, though.
