Releasing my X4/X5/X6 sprite extraction tool for Mega Man X Legacy Collection
The tools I've been working on for the past few months are able to read MMXLC files to render Megaman X4/X5/X6 levels into PNGs with original transparency intact.
Should be helpful for those looking to extract assets for 32-bit style fan games.
The PNGs can then be fed into a second tool which helps you pull out the tiles you need with the right alignment to original rendering.
Happy that its finally in a good enough state for release.
You can get it from Github at megaman-x-legacy-collection-x4-x5-x6-sprite-extractor
If you're interested in reading about all the problems I ran into along the way while getting this to work, check out the development highlights post. There's also render output timelapse videos to showcase fixes.
Ripping character/enemy sprites is a whole other can of worms. Due to the way data is stored, I haven't quite figured out a nice UI for displaying/managing extraction yet.
Spilt water behind backseat cup holders, went down towards battery
Took a look from the boot and it seemed like it went in the gap between backseat and boot. Should I be concerned?
It was about half a bottle of water. Just kids being kids and all
