Obviously it's pure speculation, but I've done some math on the inclusion of discographies in some other music biopics that were given carte blanche and I've come up with:
Bohemian Rhapsody: 22 songs - 134 mins (2h14m)
Elvis: 36 songs - 159 mins (2h39m)
Complete Unknown: 23 songs - 141 mins (2h21m)
Michael: 13 songs - 127 mins (2h7m)
This averages out to about a song every 6.5 minutes.
Let's just say each film will be 2 hours for conveniences sake, so around 8 hours in full. Assuming we don't have TOO much overlap with songs (Save for some of the most popular ones maybe), this potentially gives us something like ...
74 songs.
This number could be completely off, but it's reasonable to assume that it would be at least in that ballpark (and I would also assume we'd only get snippets of a lot of them). There's a heavy marketing angle to the whole project so obviously we're going to hear all the hits, but the cumulative runtime means it's very possible we'll be hearing a few deep cuts here and there too.
Outside of the obvious ones, which lesser known songs do you think might make their way into these films?
