I bought a 2017 ssr 125r a few years back. Ran fine once started. It sat for 18 months. Dad and I stood outside for 45 minutes kick starting the bike for nothing to happen. Loaded it up and took it to my buddies. 5 mins later we got it running. We started noticing how easy it was to kickstart it but acted like it was choking the second you hit the throttle. I know my old neighbor tipped the bike and only time I know it’s been tipped. My buddy also mentioned that during the race season unless it was running previously it was really hard to get started. Anyone know the issue?

So after riding my dad’s Yamaha 500 he decided to slow down and sell his custom bike after 6yrs. Puts me in a position of buying my first but technically third bike if you count dirt bikes.

I like the look of the bolt but wondering what the pros and cons are to them?
