My jumping did not seem very fluid tonight as I kept messing up. Was trying for a bunch of doubles, double crosses into a double mic to end with a eb trap but kept getting the timing wrong and then was too tired after all the takes. So just did this as my last seconds of jumping for the night.

On July 27, 2026, the jump rope community erupted into a tizzy over a post titled "Jump Rope Moves You Will Never See Me Doing" by @ Dayan.Kole (IG 6M+), planet Earth’s biggest skipping influencer, allegedly publicly mocking three very popular jump rope moves: the Toad, the Kruger, and a through-the-leg arm wrap. The post showed him attempting the moves before giving a sour look, wagging his finger, and adding a subtitle saying you’ll never see him doing them. Although factually correct and a pretty mild post at face value, the subtext that some interpreted was a "looksmaxxing" male known for a cocky attitude mocking core jump rope moves. Basically, people interpreted it as him saying, "you look corny AF if you do these."

Then, morally righteous jumper Fabian @ fabian_schoen_coach (IG 18k), came to the rescue to sprinkle his own seasoning of sarcasm, saying that Dayan "may simply not have the coordinated capacity for that side of the sport." Of course, he could have given Dayan the benefit of the doubt, but by this point, a full meltdown was unfolding in the comments and igniting an all-out beef war.

It wasn’t until Jamie of @ j__ropes (IG 9k) posted a response video that clearer heads prevailed where she expressed the beautiful thing about jumping rope and the community is the overwhelming positivity, fun and peer support the community displays. In her words “one where we celebrate the differences and keep judgement and negativity out of it.”

Luckily, all we are doing is skipping a rope. So what’s your hot take?
