Any recommendations for a quality rope.

I broke two of my ropes within half a year. Any recommendations of a solid rope you have used for years. It progressively gets cut/eaten from my double unders it seems.

Thanks a lot.

About 1.5 months of practice, starting almost from zero

I’m really enjoying the process and trying to improve every day 🚀

You don't have to be the best, just be the one that is having the most fun :)

Can I continue jumping rope on concrete barefoot?

I started getting in to jumping rope, and I've been doing so on a concrete floor for 3 weeks. After those 3 weeks my left leg got shin splints which took a month to heal. During that month break I've been jumping with my right leg only.

Can I continue jumping rope on a concrete floor barefooted with my left leg or should I do so on grass?

I have been jumping for some time now.

Any comments on the form? I think I am a bit too stiff on the upper body?

Before I Started I Was Super Excited. Even After My First Two Weeks Or So I Was Excited. Months Later And I Dread Jumproping. I Haven't In Over A Week Now? Anybody Else Go Through This?

After the first month or so I got less and less excited. Now I have to force myself to do it. Sometimes Ill feel good after a session but then next session doesn't go all that good and I feel empty again. I will admit part of that comes from tripping on the rope that shit is discouraging and makes me angry, though I can tell Im getting better with my form and all. I can get 40-50 with less mistakes.

Thoughts on Jumping rope every other day plus Running?

I've been jumping rope for quite sometime now if I'm not mistaken 3 years plus I think I'm pretty almost decent LOL greatest achievement is I can do rounds of 3 min and 1min rest for 3-5 rounds now, last two months ago I started Running, 3k 4k then almost 5k 4-6 times a week. Goal is to have a great overall body not fat no muscular decent looking bod since I'm a small Asian man around 5'6 at 65kg at most or 66kg.

Questions and thoughts is: will I attain my goal/ loose more weight ( I know I know cal def and diet is the major factor for this one, but how about naturally and sticking to these routine)

PS: I do kettlebell once in a while but not my main focus.

Thank you everyone!!

First time jumper

I just got my first rope and I want to get into this!

I’ve seen some moves here and wondering what I should start out with.

Is there a recommended set of moves to learn first?

What should I focus on in the beginning? Jumping correctly I assume but other than that?

Is skipping on grass a bad idea? Is it better to skip on something more solid? Is tarmac too hard?

Thank you in advance! I’ll make sure to post my progress once I get to some level of proficiency!
