High ammonia, source and solution

High ammonia, source and solution

I am currently having a huge problem with ammonia in my fish tank. I have no idea what is causing it and how to fix it as my tank is fully cycled (cycled for 2 months) and i do have good nitrate levels so i dont think the cycle has crashed. I have lots of live plants, but none are decaying or dead, and i only have one betta in a 10gal tank. I always feed my betta with a pipette so there is never any food waste decaying in the tank so i have no idea what could be causing it. I have been doing water changes frequently (normally once a week but i have been doing it once a day to get the ammonia down but it isnt helping) my fish isn’t acting off, is still eating and exploring like normal and i have tested my tap water with and without seachem prime and nothing is wrong with it so i’m not sure if my test kit is picking up some non-toxic form but any help is appreciated

Im contemplating just replacing it because heaters are relatively cheap, however i was wondering if this is just some build up and it is fine, or if it is a problem. I have only had this heater for like 3 months so i dont want to be wasteful and throw it out if it is fine!

Originally wanted to add some pygmy corys in my tank with a betta, but when i brought this guy home i knew i could never, he literally gets angry at everything, even me just walking past his tank😭
