4.99 Crore Cases Are Still Waiting. Justice Shouldn't Take a Lifetime.

Every pending case is more than just a number. It's a family waiting for justice, a victim hoping for closure, or an innocent person waiting to be heard.

Today, 4.99 crore cases are pending in India's lower courts. Out of them, 1.34 crore cases (27%) have been waiting for more than 5 years.

Imagine waiting five years—or even longer—for a decision that could change your life.

For many people, justice delayed becomes justice denied.

A faster justice system doesn't just clear files. It restores trust, protects people's rights, and gives hope to millions who are still waiting.

Why don't they just increase the number of judges and courts?🤔

31% of India's Population Is Below 18 Years of Age

Around 31% of India's population is under the age of 18—nearly 45 Crore children and teenagers. They are the future of the country.

But there is a serious concern. Even today, millions of young people struggle to find good jobs. Government vacancies are limited, and competition is increasing every year.

As millions more teenagers enter the workforce in the coming years, will India create enough quality jobs for them? A young population can be India's greatest strength—but only if it is matched with better education, skills, and employment opportunities. Otherwise, this demographic advantage could become a major challenge.

1 in 3 Married Women in India Has Experienced Domestic, Physical, or Sexual Violence by Her Husband

Despite India's rapid progress, domestic violence remains a serious social issue. According to the National Family Health Survey (NFHS-5, 2019–21), 29.3% of ever-married women aged 18–49 have experienced physical and/or sexual violence by their husband—meaning 1 in every 3 married women in India has faced such abuse.

The highest prevalence was reported in Karnataka (44.4%), followed by Bihar (40.0%), Manipur (39.6%), Tamil Nadu (38.1%), and Telangana (36.9%). The survey also found that domestic violence is more common in rural areas (31.6%) than in urban areas (24.2%).

Although some states have shown improvement in recent years, domestic violence continues to affect millions of women across the country. Strengthening awareness, education, women's economic independence, and access to legal support is essential to creating a safer and more equal society.

India Works Among the Longest Hours in the World—But Earns One of the Lowest Average Weekly Wages

India's average working time is 46.7 hours per week, among the highest in the world. Yet, its average weekly wage is only around ₹8,000—far lower than countries like China (₹68,423), Japan (₹78,075), Germany (₹1,14,075), and the United States (₹1,40,130).

But there's another reality.

The ₹8,000/week figure is only an average. It does not mean every Indian worker earns ₹8,000 per week.

Because income in India is highly unequal, a relatively small group of high-income earners pushes the average upward, while millions of workers—especially in the informal sector—earn far less than the average.

Long working hours do not always translate into higher earnings. Productivity, skills, labour laws, economic structure, and the large informal workforce all play a major role.

Bihar’s average monthly income is ₹13,000 — but In reality, more than 50% of people in Bihar earn less than ₹13,000 per month.

This happens because a small number of people earn very high incomes — successful businessmen, professionals, government officers, etc. These high earners pull the overall average upwards, making the average figure higher than what most people actually earn.

So even though the average shows ₹13,000, the majority of people are earning below that level.
