griping about Cirrus redesign

okay so I'll preface this by saying Cirrus is one of my absolute favorite houses, BUT they just made some changes to their website that I can't abide. if you have a tab open but click away from it, the title now flashes between "We're still here!" and "Come back for rewards!" which is a major pet peeve of mine in site design (proof). it's so attention hogging and reminds me of those scammy dropshipping sites. also not a fan of the constantly scrolling bar on the top for similar reasons, plus it's hard to read. don't want to be a hater but...is it my imagination or weren't the older labels a bit prettier?

btw, they replaced their 10 ml size ($35) with 15 ml ($48), though they still haven't stocked them. I'm glad they still have something in that size range since it's more accessible than 30 ml and makes more sense if you have a large collection, but it is slightly more 'serious' money than an impulse purchase now.

Morari appreciation post!

not affiliated with Morari, I just stan.

if you've got a hole in your heart pocket, consider supporting the very talented Vika! they're Autistic (like me and probably at least a third of this sub), and have wonderful customer service! the formulations are very high quality and unique. the shop takes breaks to catch up on orders, but it reopens tomorrow! you can also get samples at Sucrerie and Ajevie.

my favorites are:

Sunflower (Cardamom, Orange Blossom, Golden Amber, Cedarwood) I got this as a freebie in a recent order and it was a surprise hit! I amp cardamom, but it doesn't go overboard here. Sunflower has a gentle nuttiness kind of like pistachio and is great as a comfort scent.

Ren Faire (Spiced Honey Cakes, Strawberry Wine, Wisps of Smoke) such a unique gourmand atmospheric! lots of smoky notes go bbq on me or too bitter, and this one is just lovely, brings back sweet memories of golden afternoons at renfest

Shrouded in Gossamer (French Vanilla, Silk, Face Powder, Cognac, Nutmeg) this tugs at some deep memory in me, maybe of the scent of my mom at her vanity when I was really small. it's hazy, sweet, elegant, and feminine.

Besitos de Miel (Pear, Orange Blossom, Rose, Tuberose, Caramel, Honey (synthetic), and Ambergris (synthetic)) this one is special to me because my dear aunt (no longer with us, rip) immediately liked it; her reaction was "this smells like a Woman". if you enjoy white florals, try it out!

honorable mentions include the more recent release The Third Week of May (Frost Grape Flowers and Leaves, Japanese and Amur Honeysuckle, Humid Air) fresh realistic, non perfumey floral ; Tea Time With a Field Mouse (Clover, Cherry Blossom, Heliotrope, Matcha Powder, Green Tea, Vanilla Frosting) grassy bright green freshness and beautiful artwork! ; and You’re Invited to a Raccoon Picnic (Roasted Sweet Potato, Marshmallow, Forest Soil, Sandalwood)! also, I've never tried it, but you've got to respect a perfumer who uses their craft to make a mildewy basement scent.

recommendations for high cervix?

so far I've tried: Pixie (uncomfortably rigid and nearly had to go to the ER to remove, threw it away), Saalt soft small (much more comfortable, but still difficult to retrieve sometimes), and Flex (pull tab is helpful but it leaks terribly). I think my difficulty in grabbing the cups means I have a high cervix, but I'm not sure. has anyone had similar experiences and have you found a good solution?

edit: thanks everyone! I'm a little scared of discs but I'll try some out
