I was recently accepted into a master’s program that requires an in-person orientation. Unfortunately, airfare is currently over $1,000, which would essentially consume my entire remaining monthly paycheck after rent.
I reviewed the LTP guidelines and saw that orientation fees may be covered, but transportation and travel expenses are not. I also called LTP Enterprise for clarification, but the agent was super rude and hung up on me.
Has anyone been in a similar situation? Were there any options available through Boeing, the university, or another source to help offset the travel costs? Is there any exception process, reimbursement program, or other resource I should look into?
I’m a recent college graduate and don’t have much savings yet, so this unexpected expense has been pretty stressful. I’d appreciate any advice or experiences others can share.
Thanks in advance.
