Pyrois's Tactical Prism is kind of awesome

Pyrois's Tactical Prism is kind of awesome

It reveals the location of most electronic lockboxes on the map. The lv50 prism does it too so you don't need to spend season coins on his Z-rank for it. Really useful for doing fast loot farms or if you're still learning where they spawn.

Wish Events are actually good now

For season 3 agents they cut the number of wish events per agent from 5 to 3 (with an extra 20 polychrome reward to make up for the loss). What they lost in quantity they really made up for in quality though. Before they were just short little mostly irrelevant dialogs that you slogged through for the 50 polychrome. Now they're almost like extra trust missions, longer and with more character exploration. In Remielle's case I think there might have been a few minor lore drops too.

They do kind of feel more like dates now, with first person perspective and more "personal" sounding dialog, which I know some people won't like. Personally I'd rather the game not go TOO hard in that direction but I think these are fine. Overall seems like a nice positive change to me.

Ultimate Mobile Left Side Buttons Not Working -Fix

I had trouble finding any info on the web about this model so thought I'd post this here. Maybe someone will find it helpful someday.

Again, this is for the 8bitdo Ultimate Mobile Controller

If you're having problems with buttons on the left-hand side working intermittently or not at all, the problem is likely the long ribbon cable that runs across the controller. Due to the design this cable is all but guaranteed to fail eventually. Replacement isn't too difficult if you have some experience with this sort of thing (15 minute or so job).

The ribbon cable is a FFC 16 pin, 0.5mm pitch, 250mm length, with pins on reverse sides (sometimes called B type or type 2). In the US at least you can find these cheap on amazon often with next day shipping (I got a 5 pack for around $5. Extras are good.)

You'll need some double-sided tape as well to secure the ribbon cable (will be obvious when you see it)

Some tips:

On this model t6 torx screws are hidden under the hard plastic outer housing on the grips, which can be pried off. It's just like the regular ultimate (look up any video for that model)

Additionally there are a total of seven phillips head screws hidden under the large rubber grip mat. 3 larger ones along the top, 4 small ones along the bottom. These can be reached by peeling the mat back about a cm along the top/bottom. 4 more screws are plainly visible on the back when the controller is extended. Once you've got the right side open there's one final screw you need to remove to detach a small plastic piece covering the ribbon cable connector.

Rest of the teardown is prying the pieces apart and is fairly intuitive.

*important* when you remove the old ribbon cable, note the crease in it. This is where the failure happens. It's necessary for the ribbon to "spool" correctly though, so you'll need to gently make one in your new cable as well, at that same spot. ALSO: there's a thick piece of plastic tape running along the cable near that spot that's difficult to see. You need to peel that off and transfer it to your new cable. It acts as a sort of spring to get the ribbon to spool properly.

It's possible to do the repair without detaching the 4 springs that pull the sides together. They're a pain to get back on so you should try to avoid it if you can. The smaller ribbon cable that connects the usb port to the right board is also a huge pain in the ass to reattach but unavoidable.

Hope this helps someone out there!
