Strange interaction with Ranger at Blendon Woods
Not trying to make this more than it is, but what a strange interaction yesterday, and curious if this is just a result of how they staff.
Show up to the Nature Center, ask the ranger at the desk if he could help us with access to Thoreau Lake. I get a blank stare, followed with "Lake?".
I make mistakes, for all I know I'm at the wrong park. I was sure I wasn't, but I'm pragmatic.
I replied with "well maybe it's just a pond".
He made some weird gesture about there being water nearby, but he had never heard of "Thoreau".
I admitted defeat and we explored the nature center, meanwhile I looked it up to be sure.
The water is referred to as both Thoreau Lake and Thoreau Pond depending on what you are looking at for reference for some reason. No worries.
I let the Ranger know, and he was still baffled, had never heard of it, and asked me to repeat the name twice, with a confused look on his face.
I'm like, how does the Ranger not know about basically the only body of water in the park he works in, that is only like a 5 minute walk from where his is sitting?
I felt like i was being gaslit, some of that is on me for not being assertive, but what a strange way to interact with patrons.
I don't know man, I just wanted my kid to see a turtle.
This is the most fantastic Spring weather we've had in ages and none of you have said ish
Amazing temps, adequate rain, very few storms, I've been outside all day every day. It's wonderful.
Concerts: are there physical tickets at the venue? Looking for Primus
I'm a concert ticket collector for the shows i go to, and most tickets from the brokers are coming in as digital tickets now for pretty much every show.
I was wondering if some of the venues have physical tickets for people that show up on the day of show.
And on that note, if anyone attended Primus at Kemba and has a physical ticket that they would like to part with I would love to grab it.

So many tech movies focus on machines taking over and enslaving the human race. This one makes me smile.
1994 GT Talera bottom bracket
I'm breathing new life into a old classic triple triangle.
I ordered a new Shimano bb-un300, 73mm (measured) and a 122.5mm spindle for an M361 crankset.
I have the cup seated flush, bike runs smooth as butter, but the amount of exposed threads here has me a bit concerned.
As long as the cup is seated, send it?
I torque the absolute crap out of it.
I'm using the Park Tool BB tool, but it constantly slips off when I apply any leverage to it.
I ended up punching the crankset once and now I have 3 teeth marks on my hand.
This thing is tight.
