Hi all,

Recently, I saw some random 7th gen Celica's driving with roof racks/bars on which they had equipped cargo and some even had a roof tent on it.

I would also like a roof rack/bars to put cargo or a tent on.

I did some research but I'm overwhelmed and confused. I don't know a thing or 2 about roof racks and I can't seem to understand it either.

At the same time I see old forums with gravel/safari celica's or ones with canoes on them but no explanation of installation whatsoever.

The tents I am looking at ask these specifics:

"Roofbars are made from aluminium and have an oval shape (aerodynamically shaped, sometimes referred to as 'aero' or 'wing' bars), rather than square.

Have a 'through bar' design, i.e. where the bars extend over the roof bar foot, rather than stopping at the foot."

I went to a local Thule specialist but they don't support my car since roof racks aren't being made for it anymore.

My questions are:

What roof racks exist and what do I need?

Where do I install the rack on the Celica (without sunroof)?

Where can I find these roofracks in Europe (Netherlands to be more precise)?

I hope someone has experience on this topic.

On forums I've seen a lot of people telling others off to get a roof rack on the celica because they thought it was ugly.

I do not think so, I couldn't care less if someone else thinks it's ugly, so please don't comment if that's all you have to say.
